"These bumpers do a great job of protecting the gunnels on my bass boat, much better than the kind you drop over the side. Hint, order three, one for the middle and one each fore and aft. Attach so the front and rear bumpers touch almost as often as the middle one."

"I bought these to replace the flat vinyl folding ones I purchased for my Ranger. The flat ones are not thick enough to provide any protection. These are great but could be impoved by adding a little weight to the bottom to help them stay upright. Very pleased. TS"

"Bought a pair for my Nitro 189 and they are a perfect fit! Short rope to the boat cleat and they hang perfectly! Seem to be pretty rugged though I don't expect they'll last 20yrs. Will definitely by more when/if these wear out."

"On a small fishing boat that has a lot of movement when people get on and off, these fenders work very well. They keep the boat from catching on the dock. The wrap around shape keeps the boat snagging the underside of the dock. I really like these fenders and would suggest that bass boat fishermen consider useing them. My wife just had to have the fenders that matched the boat color! She is happey with them too. And that my friends, makes for a happy fisherman!"

"These bumpers work great. They are pretty thick and have a needle valve to inflate/deflate. The picture has a similar situation as mine...a dock with no rubber. Another problem I had was the dock was on posts and did not float with the water level. Most of the time the dock was higher than the boat. The side of the boat would bump under the side board of the dock and scratch the fiberglass.
I bought three of the short bumpers for my F&S. The sides of the hull were rounded so I needed three to keep the center from hitting the dock.
I just swing them in the boat while riding...they are heavy enough to not blow out at 45+ mph. With the boat full of F&S gear there is not a lot of room left to store the bumpers. Just those three take up almost all of one storage seat. I guess for the protection your boat gets from the bumpers it is worth the extra cramming....
I would recommend these for anyone that ties up to a dock... If you have a deep hull or I/O you might want the longer ones."
