"the mayfair bilge pump works like magic,no float or switch is visible. i installed it and went out fishing, about two hours later the pump kicked on automatically and pumped the bilge out completely. unreal how modern technology has made even fishing high tech"

"Had been working on the floor of my boat .Then it started to rain and rain the boat filed with woter. To get that much water out the drain plug just was going to take to long.So I put in a 1000 GPH May Marine Combo Blige Pump,it took about 2 Hr to get the water out this gave me time to dry out the floor."

"I bought this pump for the bass boat that I am restoring. It comes up with phantom leaks every so often, so having an automatic pump is a great asset.
The pump works great. It's quiet and dependable, and can move a lot of water in a short time.
However, the automatic switch quit after the first season. Of course, the warranty was expired.
I replaced it with another, identical unit this week. If it dies again, I will replace with another brand."

"I bought 3 a few years back for use in small boats that stay on the lake year-round. They worked great at first, but by the second year the float switch starts to stick, and I have to bump it to get it to pump. One quit under warranty. The company replaced the pump quickly without a hassle, HOWEVER, they sent me only the pump and not a new float switch. It turned out the float switch was the problem. Also the clip-on style of the float switch can come loose from the pump, and I have to fumble with it to get it back on. I will try another brand next time."
