"I have read other reviews of people crying with memory, and it being thick. Spool it up a day or two before going fishing, not an hour before, and pour some water on the spool. The memory will be gone. I have never had a problem with memory on my reel, but I'm a baitcaster man. This line is the best. I tried excel, and it will fray and break after 10 minutes of dragging a jig. This stuff is so abrasion resistant, that I only have to retie a few times a day. I never have memory problems. Not to say the others are liars, but this is THE best monofilament line out there."

"I discovered P-Line goin on 10 years ago and nothing stacks against it. This line has gone thru everything with my fishing trips and works consistently everytime. "I figured I needed the strongest co-polymer for my leaders,in order to resist abrasion and maintain high breaking strength.I also wanted a 'beefy' line,with a little stiffness to actuate swivels(preventing twist under strong current conditions.Because P-Line CXX is so strong and tough,it knots well with other lines-with braids on the one hand,and other co-polymers,mono,and flouros on the other.In fact,I took my 0 to 20 pound Shimano drag-scale,and tested the lower tests of several kinds and brands of line,and the CXX was a magnitude stronger than the others I tested,in terms of single pieces of line,and with regard to breaking a lighter piece tied via a triple surgeon's knot to the next size up(i.e.6 to 8).The scale showed a consistent breakpoint a little higher than the stated rating of the STRONGER test piece.No other tested product approached this level of reliability,although there are some others that I'd bet are as good,but I really am a P-Line fan, now."

"i do have to say there are some positives to this line. it is strong and it casts far, bur that is where the good stuff ends. this line has more memory then any othe line ive ever tried when you cast it it is like the line is still on the spool i wouldnt recomend this to anybody"

"This line is silly strong. You can go down a couple of pound test and still get the same results. Just throw it on baitcasters only,tough on spinning reels."

"For the last 4 years i have been on a mission to find the best line on the market. Not just the best bang for the buck, but the best product available. Between myself, my brother, and my father we have tried them ALL. Mono, Fluro, Braided all types all sizes and all colors. CXX is by far the best product out there. We fish all over IL, WI, and IN for everything from Bass to Pike to Steelhead and King Salmon. There isnt a line out there that compares to this line. We use the 10lb on all or our spincast reels. We even use the 10lb for steelhead/kings and this stuff holds up with no problem!"

"I can't even begin to count the number of fish I have landed using this line! It is by far, the toughest line I have ever used. I use it mainly for freshwater (12-15lb), but have used some 20lb test in inshore saltwater fishing. It isn't the best at abrasion resistance, but is probably as good as any other."

"extra strong is one thing, but if it is also extra thick than what's the point. You can get cheap 10lb line to equal this 8lb line."

Disadvantages: Performance, high rate of memory
"I purchased this line to put on one of my bait caster's and it just spits off of the spool. This line has a high, high rate of memory. The best way I found for it to quit spitting off of the spool is "close" the reel and loosen the drag, at which point you can pull out the kinks and re-spool it. It has decent strength and good knot strength. This is the first time I've ever use P-Line and the last time. I should have bought Trilene XL."

"I have been using the P-Line copolymer line for the past three years and it's tough stuff. It holds up well to everyday neglect and abuse any fisherman can give it. The mossy green color blends well with most any water conditions.

"This line is the best I have used and have been using it for a while. There is some line memory out of the box which I take out by tying a swivel to a tree, attaching the line to the swivel, let out plenty of line, now pull the memory out of the line by stretching it. Reel yourself back to the tree and you are done. This line will never let you down after that. The upside far outweighs the work of taking the memory out. I love the moss green color for bass."

"I USE THE 15LB ON ONE OF MY BAITCAST REELZ AND I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WHIPPING MY 1oz JIG WITH ALL MY MIGHT, FEELING EXTREMELY CONFIDENT EVERYTIME KNOWING MY LINE WONT SNAP. IN MY OPINION, THE ONLY THING I NOTICE IS THAT THE DIAMETER SEEMS A LITTLE THICKER COMPARED TO OTHER TYPE OF MONO LINES. NEXT TIME I WILL BUY 12LB, TOO.."
