Disadvantages: Performance, Quality
"I wish only it was made of higher quality on the main body like steel. But it really worked well. Not just one time ,but every time I have used the Lift-In-Lock. Get yourself one."

Not So Good

Advantages: Durability
Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Performance
"Purchased two of the" deluxe" anchor controls for a 15' Jon boat, having used the basic model in previous years (they were easily broken and bent). This model seems sturdier but does not work well. The plastic "lock" that is to stop the anchor rope from playing out after the anchor strikes bottom is so light it seldom locks into place without having to push it down by hand-- a problem when one anchor is on the bow and one on the stern. I glued a lead weight to the piece but even this give spotty locking results. I tried two different rope sizes-- both within the size range suggested-- and neither worked well. The anchor is easy to raise with the anchor control but again will not lock the anchor into place without hands-on manipulation."

Disadvantages: Performance
"Bought 2, one for the front and back using a 15# and 10# mushroom anchors on a 14'Vhull. They do make it nice for pulling up But.... The 1st one broke after a week of heavy use and the 2nd one is barely hang'n on after one summer of moderate use. Next time, I think I will go with the steel ones."

"I bought one of these for my 12 foot pontoon. It's easy to install and use. just pre-drill 1/8" holes and screw it down with #10 screws. Something I would consider a must for any boat you drop anchor alot in. I personally perfer the deluxe model because it has no sharp edges and looks better. So far it's been holding up well too!"
