"I bought them last year while they were on sale for about $50. Now i wish i would have spent the extra 20 on somthing better. Ive been through 4 pair of laces already! I have not had the felt sole fall off yet but im sure that is about to happen.
I think they should recall this product and let people trade in their boots for a better pair!!!
The eyelets for the laces are way too sharp and dont allow you to get these boots tight. The eyelets are lined with sharp plastic and i am not sure why they did this. Might have been better off lining them with pieces of metal."

Don't Buy these Boots,March 24, 2009

"Very poor quality. In the store they look and feel great. However after a few uses on the river the laces break (I think that the eyes on the lacing holes are too sharp) and the felt soles begin to peel. I intend on buying new boots instead of trying to repair these. Even Hodgmans are better quality and will last longer. I would say you get what you pay for but... $70 is still a lot of money for something that you will have to repair or replace by the end of the season."

"Within the first couple of fishing trips the felt started peeling off the bottom of the boots. On approximately the 4th trip the laces broke. I have now owned them for less than 8 months and the felt has worn off the bottoms and both laces are broken. Do not buy these unless you expect to buy 2 pair a year and expect to need multiple sets of laces and replacement felt. Very poor product."

"i bought these two years ago and I really like them. I bought them one size bigger and I should have bought them two sizes bigger. When wearing wool socks they really restrict my feet thus they get cold in cooler waters. All in all I am pretty happy with them."

Good boots until they fell apart!,October 13, 2008

"I purchased these boots almost a year ago to wear while hunting for fossil shark teeth along the Chesapeake Bay. I go out once or twice each week, so the boots saw some pretty heavy usage. They always had a problem with the laces breaking, but now the boots have completely fallen apart. The soles have come apart, but even worse, the leather on the heel, at the point where it meets the rubber, has worn/rotted completely away, leaving gaping holes which allow all kinds of shell, gravel, sand, etc. to enter the boot. I was happy with these boots for the first 6 months that I owned them, but I expected them to be more durable."

HORRIBLE CHEAP BOOT,September 6, 2008

"Yesterday I returned these boots for the 3rd time and bought a different brand. Within the first 2 weeks, the lace straps broke off while tying the laces. Returned them for another pair. The soles on both boots started coming apart in less than 6 months, returned those for another pair. The soles on the new boots started to come apart again, I used some wader boot repair glue and that held for awhile. Last week while fishing, the sole of my left boot came completly off and the right boot was hanging on by a thread. I took them back to the main store and got Simms! Dont buy these boots"

"I have had the same pair for almost 7 years. Used them from spring to late fall on the Bow River to high mountain streams in western Canada and many rivers in British Columbia and no signs of wearing out. They have taken a hard beating and look like a year old. Recommend these boots to everyone and for the price, you can not beat it."

2 seasons, then fell apart,May 5, 2008

"The first hint of trouble with these boots came on the second wearing: the loop strap on the heel pulled loose. I decided not to send them back, probably a mistake. They lasted two seasons, then one boot gave way on the seam and they had to be tossed. Every other boot I've owned in 20+ years of fishing has lasted 3-4 years."

"What a great boot for the price. Looks good and feels great. I now have the white river flyrod,vest and boots and could not be happier. I have never worn a pair of Simms boots, but I don't see how they can be any better. Super product line for the person who does not need Simms on everything he or she wears."

"These are by far the best value in wading boots I've come across. They are much more comfortable than other (much more expensive) boots that I've owned. I like the fact that I can walk along a river and feel like I'm wearing hiking boots, not rocks on my feet. The only thing I don't like is the shoelace thingies-I don't know what they are called, but they are pretty abrasive, and tear up the laces pretty quickly. I'd suggest that the designers come up with a lower-friction lacing system, such as rings, in order to cut down on having to replace laces.
I live in Colorado and fish both high mountain streams and lakes, as well as warm-water ponds and lakes. These boots are versatile enough to handle both with ease, and work great with float tube fins.
If you catch them on sale, that's even better, but the combination of price and comfort is what sold me on these boots. I'd definitely recommend them, and if I ever wear this pair out, I'll buy another."

"Graduated up to these from rubber waders. Used with neoprenes this summer in Colorado on the Taylor and Gunnison and in New Mexico on the upper Pecos. Fishing was best I had seen on the Pecos in 25 years, by the way. Fantastic grip with the felt soles on the rock bottoms of these freestone rivers. Much better stability than the hard rubber soles I was used to. Highly recommend. Easy to take off and on, dried quickly. Good grip on muddy banks too."

"What can i say...I've put them to the test thru slimy rocks, weeds, brush, mud, and ice... and they handled it all well...The stitching for the felt and for the soles was well done and has remained in tact throughout their use. The boots are sturdy and comfortable to stand in, for long periods without feeling discomfort...
Definitely the best bang for the buck..A great pair of wading boots that were made to take punishment..."
