A solid performing rainsuit that's sure to keep you fishing when everyone else has packed it in. The jacket features a full hood with visor; front zipper with hook 'n' loop double storm flap and a barrel lock waist drawstring. The wrist cuffs have 1" elastic for a contoured fit. Pants come with adjustable hook'n'loop closures with quick-release buckles and velcro closures at the cuffs. Imported.

"I got a set of XL classic series suit and went out to put it through its paces. I found the price to be great and overall durability to be good, however the crotch leaked bad and the jacket zipper would not stay closed and opened from the bottom up all the time. I found that if pressure contact was made with absorbent damp surfaces the water would come through. Such as sitting or kneeling on the wet ground. I was impressed on how well the surface held up to wear and tear. The bib connectors worked well and fit and finish was excellent. Maybe a strap on the legs to hold it all down, might help some but not a big problem. I contacted the company and they were more than happy to consider a return, If i paid to send the set back to them. I got a form letter back stating the info that i needed to send em back. So as I see it I paid for the gear and I have to pay again to return it. Not the best of deals. I am sure my local bass pro will make it right as they always do."

"ZIPPER ON JACKET FAILED THE FIRST TIME I PUT IT ON. OPENED UP FROM THE BOTTOM AFTER BEING ZIPPED AND BROKE . SECOND TIME IT WAS USED THE PANTS LEAKED LIKE IT WASN'T EVEN THERE. MAKES A GOOD WIND BREAK BUT NO GOOD FOR RAIN. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY."

"This review is after my first use in the field..... Positives: keeps you dry; minimal condensation; light weight; adequate leg and sleeve length in the XL size (I am 6-7); good price. Negatives: pants are a little baggy, and tend to get caught in brush; top is a little short in the torso. when you bend over, half your back is exposed. 2 to 3 inches longer would be great; suspenders are too short and pants really bind. wife had to sew in an additional 10 inches for each strap. Overall: decent product for the price. Will provide a more meaningful assessment after about 10 uses. However, doubt that the manufacturer ever reads these comments."

"Prior to purchasing, I read both the good and the bad about the Frogg Toggs and decided to give them a try. Sure enough, the zipper on the top was the first thing to go, followed by the side seams on the bottoms. With the exception of the zipper and the tearing, the suit did an excellent job keeping wind and rain from ruining your day."

"I purchased this kit about a month ago. They did not hold up too well in very hard rain. My Levi's were soaked after an hour of fishing. For the price though, a can of Dry Camp might do the trick to really water-proof them. I will say this though: they absolutely keep the wind off your bones. Also, buy a size larger than what you may normally wear. I bought a MED thinking it would fit - They fit like an xsmall."

Waterproof but not Tearproof,March 12, 2009

"I will say that these things are very water proof but they only work it there are no holes which is rare. Mine started to get weak around the seams after about 6 months and the hole middle seam tore down the back after one year. I tried to tape them up as they started to risk but it was no use, they just continued to rip. I believe that the bib puts to much pressure on the front and back seam that they just cannot to handle the pressure. Next time I am going to go with something a little more heavy duty."

"the first time I wore mine I was on a trip to canada and the zipper broke. It turned out to be a very wet trip. When I got back I called frogg togg and they replaced it with a new set and I haven't had a problem since."

"I really dislike giving bad reviews, but on this one, I just couldn't help it. I bought these because of the low price and figured that I would take them backpacking/ camping because they are really light. It started to rain so I put them on. At first, I was dry so I figured I would be ok. The next thing I know is that I am completely soaked. OH NO!!!! Then, trying to high tail it back to camp, the legs completely shredded from some of the grasses and very very few jaggers on the trail. Needless to say, they got thrown away as soon as I got home and I will be purchasing something more heavy duty. Decent product, it just needs to be more waterproof and more substantial."

"The only way I could recommend a froff togg suit is if you need something for a single season and want to get by as cheap as possible. They do not hold up well at all. Quickly begin to fuzzup and then water slowly seeps in. Definately not a suit for heavy rain or running in a boat."

"I've had to throw this thing on a couple of times while out on the lake. The last time we were caught in a severe thunder storm with some of the hardest rain I've ever experienced. We were caught under a bridge just a 1/2 mile from the ramp. We finally took off and made it through the curtain of rain, I noticed the only things wet on me was my face, hands and feet (I was wearing sneakers). My partner on the other hand looked like he just crawled out of the lake."

"I have used this suit for several years and have found it adequate for fishing in light to moderate rain. However, running at high speeds warrants this product almost useless. After several minutes of 50+ mph my clothes were completely soaked and I was shivering. For a light suit to put on in spotty rain this is the ticket as the price is great. For those big rains and heavy winds I would recommend something with a little more protection."

"These suits are light weight but still hold up and keep you dry. I've got almost 7 years on my first set and they still stop water. Badly pilled and roughed up they are fine for using in my kayak where everything gets beat up. I have one of the newer sets with a slightly harder outside finish as well. It's still almost new looking after two summer trips to Canada and virtually living in the suit the entire time. They could improve the shoulder straps on the bibs, I fisn myself crossing the straps so they don't go loose during the day. Not to much of an issue. Also you need to remember to close the storm flap over the jacket zipper so blowing rain cannot get through. Overall however the best rain suits I've ever used and the ones I recommend."

"I bought this rainsuit last year after getting drenched in a pop up storm while fishing. The rain poncho I had thrown in the boat only seemed to help in that drenching. I immediately went and bought one of these that evening at the advise of a friend. Since , I have used these twice, and no matter what, you will get some water on you, but overall, this suit will keep you dry, even while driving downriver in the rain. Don't get caught without one."

"If you're an occasional fisherman-say once or twice a month- Frogg Toggs are a pretty good buy. However, if like me, you fish a couple of days a week, you should probably look for simething else. I fish two days a week and found that the the pants seat and the jacket back of my Toggs wore out in a single year. Also, the jacket leaked badly around my wrists in a hard rain."

"I just purchased my 4th rain suit. I have been nothing but happy with all of them. I work for a state wildlife agency and have to be outside no matter what. I abuse these suits and mine have lasted well. I have a suit for my motorcycle and my only problem is the tail pipe thing. I live in Colorado and do a lot of fishing, these suits have protected me from wind and rain. I'm sold!"
