"I highly recommend this shoe. I had foot surgery a few years ago & have been searching for a shoe that did not make my foot hurt..I found it with the 490. Since purchasing this extremely comfortable & light weight shoe my foot has not hurt one time and being on my feet all day this is a blessing. Thank you New Balance & Bass Pro Shops for making this wonderful shoe available."

"The New Balance 490 is the greatest walking shoe ever made! I've had a terrible time finding this shoe, and was so thankful to have found it online at Bass Pro Shops. I've already ordered two pairs from them, and I'm about to order another for myself and one for my mom. If you walk or are on your feet a lot this is the shoe for you!"

"These 490 new balance shoes are the best that I have found for comfort. I had breast cancer a little over two years ago & my feet &legs were off limit even to me. They could not stand to be touched. I'm taking some medicine for that now but. they are still are numb and tingley, but with these shoe's comfront my feet &let me walk better. I just wish that I never dryed them in the dryer, because they shrunk!"
