Not for oyster rakes in the mud on the coast!,October 14, 2009
By Willdfrom Isle of Palms, SC
Advantages: Comfortable, Style/Design, Value for money Disadvantages: Quality
"New pair lasted 2 times out wading in the inlets on oyster rakes. They are fine except for the shells cutting the neoprene. Mine were cut at the ankle under the zipper. The next time i zipped them up it ripped the neoprene. They are probably fine in lakes and steams but not in saltwater settings on oyster rakes..."

quality boot but runs large,September 5, 2009
By flyfishscfrom SC Lowcountry
Advantages: Quality, Style/Design, Value for money Disadvantages: Fit/Size
"Well made flats boot that looks good when wet wading the salt. Comfortable and durable with all the features of flats boots costing much more but they run a size large. I wear a size 10 and wished I would have ordered a size nine. Not quite big enough to come off if stuck in the mud, but close. Also the ankle could be a little tighter; it will let some muck in if you stir enough up. Would buy again just because of the price, but one size smaller."

very disappointed,August 2, 2009

Disadvantages: Fit/Size, Quality, Uncomfortable
"I do a lot of wet wading in sandy bottom creeks while fly fishing and I bought these boots to keep the sand off of my feet. The theory is great but the design on this particular boot is poor. The velcro straps are too long to cinch the boot up tight around my calf...and while wading upstream the force of the moving water is enough to unstrap the velcro straps. so without the ability to cinch them up tight, the sediment stirred up from wading settles in the boot and creates only a slightly better solution that my previous way of wearing old tennis shoes...they also run large...I wear a size 11 in every other shoe or boot I wear and so ordered a size 11 in these, they are too big...I think a 10 would have fit better...I will be doing my own modifications to make these boots work until they wear out since I've already bought them and worn them but I will be trying a different style for the next pair.."

"I received these flats boots as a Christmas present. They are very durable. I wade on coral reefs all the time and I never have to worry about my feet. Nice product."
