"Replace carpet on pontoon three and a half years age. Placed carpet on new deck wood so no old glue involved. Followed direction very carefully when carpet was installed. Carpet now coming up and looks very bad. Would not buy again."

"Well I just finished re-carpeting my Ranger bass boat with this carpet.The carpet seemed pretty descent for the price and it made the boat look great. But the glue is JUNK I let my boat sit undercover for over two weeks in a heated building, brought the boat home and put the boat under my carport -well its been raining for two weeks now and a little rain has blowen up and underneath my carport and it has started to loosen all my carpet. Well needless to say, Ive removed all my compartment lids and had to re glue all of them"this time with a much higher quility glue". This did not make me happy and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GLUE AT ALL. Never got to take it out on the water and all the carpet came loose :("

"Just installed your boat carpet kit...The carpet is very low quality. I replaced the carpet in my 1990 Spectrum. The 21" kit was just enough to do the floors and hatches on my 19.5' bass boat. The glue provided was not enough and was of poor quality. I'm not sure what Spectrum used in the original carpet... but it is superior in quality to this stuff...This is nothing more than a quick fix carpet kit. If it holds up 2-3 years... I'll be surprised.. The carpet is sold factory direct from "Value Carpets Inc, in Dalton GA. Save your money and get the best olifin carpet you can afford..(if you love your boat)..."

"I needed a new carpet for my 17 foot aluminum. Purchased this and was extremely satisfied with the product. Had more than enough glue for the job. Product was just as it was advertised. Be prepared for the hard task of removing the old carpet. Installing the new was pretty easy if you just take your time and think before you act. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Very pleased and proud on how the project turned out."

"Over all, I was happy with this kit. My kit did not come w/ any craft paper and the glue they send you is questionable. Nothing a few cans of 3M couldn't fix. If your boat has any sharp corners, go with the 20 oz. 16oz looks great but is a little thin at corners and tucks."

"The carpet arrived in a timely manner and was of a very good quality and name brand manufacturer.

Instructions are straight forward and simple to follow.

Carpet has been on my pontoon boat for nearly 4 months now with absolutely no issues.

As others have said in their reviews of this product, there is not enough glue provided with the kit to do a complete job so be prepared to purchase more if your job requieres use of all of the carpet.

Would buy the kit all over again and recommend it to others."

"I would highly recommend this carpet. Different glue tho, as others have said it doesn't stick well unless you clamp all edges with vice grips or c clamps. Looks great in my boat. My boat is about 17 ft long, and I barely had enough with the 21 ft roll. Be ready to work though, re carpeting a boat is some hard work."

"I ordered the carpet replacement kit for a new boat i got that needed a little fixing up. I received my carpet pretty quickly which is always a good thing. Once i seen the carpet i knew right away it was the perfect color and would make my boat look way better once installed. It took me a couple days to get the carpet installed into the boat, but like i thought when i seen it, it almost made my boat look new again. I haven't had a chance to take it out on the water yet, but it has sat out through a couple thunder storms, and even after all the rain and debris when i cleaned it, it looked good as new. So i very highly recommend the boat carpet replacement kit to anyone that needs new carpet for their boat or anything else that's in need of outdoor carpet. Thank you for the good price and high quality you offer, i will be back for all my fishing and hunting needs."

"The kit is a great way to do it yourself for say. I along with others highly reccomend that you use 3M spray glue. It makes it stick and hold with in 2-3 minutes.

The Kit made my boat look new again. It took me 3 days to a 19ft bass boat with 16 lids."

"The carpet looks great - the quality of the carpet and glue were very good for the price paid.

Follow the advice of myself and others here - you need an extra gallon of adhesive - I did an 18' bass boat and used most of a second gallon by the time everything was done.

There was not enough kraft paper in the kit - the total piece was 6' X12' in a 8' X 21' carpet kit. I think the manufacturer needs to increase the amount of adhesive and kraft paper (especially sold with the larger kits), but quality of the carpet, and overall value was very good!"

"This carpet was not the grade carpet that I had expected. The glue was the worst glue that I have ever used. When you are glueing carpet on rounded areas you need something that works fast and this glue does not do that at all. I was very disapointed with the product and will not use it again."

"very pleased with quality of carpet! only problem I had was there was no kraft paper rolled up in the carpet...however I removed the old carpet and used as a guide....haven't finished the project and is very slow and time consuming with 10 compartment doors...would agree with others, get the 3M glue to used on edges!!!"

"lets start off with I have a 17ft bass boat
i bought the 21ft by 8ft roll

con

1. only comes with one gal of glue needed one and an half more
2. the paper for templates it comes with is on the cardboard tube u have to unroll all the carpet to get to it

1. good value even thou i needed more glue
2. carpet was easily to handle
3. only took four days to arrive

helpful hints

1. dont kneal down or stand on carpet right after glueing the glue will come through the carpet
2. indoor outdoor carpet adhesive is the same as marine glue and half the price
3. buy a bunch of clothes pins to help the carpet adhere to the edges of the storage lids they wont leave marks
4. the more clamps for the corners/clothes pins you have the faster u can go so load up
5. buy a white marker so u can mark your carpet on the backside like a paint marker for model cars"

"I was going to have this professionally done but did not want to pay the cost. I found this product and was a little apprehensive about doing it myself. Once I got started, I found out how easy it was. The only thing I would suggest is that you buy an extra bucket of glue. I ran a little short but that is probably because I used more than a professional would have. I saved $700 doing this myself and I am very proud of the job I did. I would suggest this product for anyone wishing to put in new carpet."

"The kit came with everything needed. The color was a perfect match for my 20 yr old carpet in my Pan Fish Tracker boat. The most difficult part was removing the live well. I had to drill out the pop rivets to remove the tank to gain access to the frame bolts. The new carpet looks great on the decking. It took 5 hrs to complete the job. This included removing seats, decking, live well and re installation."
