"I had a ring anchor but it slipped alot I just purchased the G7 GUARDIAN what a product I have an 18 ft boat
but fish in the lakeworth inlet with alot of big boat and rock this anchor is so easy to use and light GREAT PRODUCT"

"This is the third anchor I have had to purchase for my boat. I purchased an anchor that got great reviews which had the ring that went down to the bottom in the event of a snag only to discover that, in a current, a slight gust of wind could cause you to break free. Then purchased a heavy steel PVC coated anchor. Basically, in any wind conditions, I found it almost impossible to stick. Mind you, I am in an Explorer 19TV, hardly a big heavy boat. So I finally broke down and purchased the Fortress anchor. What a relief! This anchor is lighter, by far, than the other two, and sticks under any conditions. I anchored at the Galveston Jetties in 30ft of water with a strong outgoing tide and stuck instantly. Then again in deep water in the Galveston Ship Channel and stuck instantly. Anything I have thrown at this anchor, it has stuck instantly. Mixed sand & shell; sticks instantly. Soft mud; sticks instantly. I cannot endorse this anchor and design enough. It is notably easier to retrieve than the heavier anchors. Even my wife doesn't mind dealing with it. If ever there was a product worthy of the investment, this is it."
