Developed in the 1950’s by Howard Worden, the Rooster Tail is one of the most productive lures ever invented. The action of the spinning blade in combination with the colorful, pulsating hackle tail makes the Rooster Tail irresistible to any gamefish. It’s a lure that consistently catches fish. Fishermen across North America and abroad are using Rooster Tails successfully for trout, bass, perch, crappie, stripers, pike, steelhead, salmon, and other gamefish. 1/24 oz; size 14 hook.

"Fishing for Trout in Creeks and Streams, this is simply the Best Lure out there. However, the size is extremely important. The 1/24th oz is the winner. If you use 1/16th oz, your results will NOT be as good. This is the only Lure and size I carry when fishinbg creeks and streams."

"The roostertail spinner is perfect for catching any kind of fish. I have caught muskie, bass, bluegill and even catfish, yes, catfish with this bait. My favorite color combo (Black body with golden blade) seems to be elusive, but I've had luck with other colors as well. I've never lost a hook and I've never lost a part of the bait to rocks. Paint will usually flake off after about a year of good use, but you can dish out another couple bucks for this bait. Well worth the purchase."

"The 1/24th oz Rooster Tail is my number one pick for fishing any species. I have caught everything with this lure from Cut Throat and Rainbow Trout to 5 pound Bass and pan sized Bluegill...even goofing around catching creek chubs for kicks! Nothing I have ever used has been as productive, and I've tried just about everything. These have been so great I set up a "small" box with about 35-40 Rooster Tails so I can always have them with me."

"I caught the perfect sale for the perfect spinner. We use the ********* color 1/24 Worden's Rooster Tail on our local Virgina trout stream. It's poison for both natural and planted Rainbows. The spinner works year round. Occasionally we have to change to a all white 1/24th Rooster Tail especially when it's bright with clear water.
The Bass Pro web site is easy to use. The prices are posted. SALES are mark. We lucked out finding the spinners we needed on sale. This was not a 10 cent off sale it was a dollar off sale. GREAT DEAL. Makes us come back repeatedly There's 4 of us that place our order together. Bass Pro has super fair shipping. Not some exaggerated fee to make up for a cheap price as many on line business do.

"Worden's Rooster Tail has always given me a good day of fishing. I went fishing one day, caught 12 fish with 10 different varieties using a 1/24 oz Yellow Rooster Tail. I prefer the yellow and the chartreuse but the fish wil go after any color. I have caught over 100 fish in one day using nothing but a Rooster Tail."

"This lure absaloutly KILLS trout.I've caught MONSTER 'Bow, as well as good sized chubs. This thing also nails Bluegill, and Crappie. It also makes a great finesse bait for bass.
