Customer Reviews for Remington Remington® Express® Buckshot Shotshells

Remington Remington® Express® Buckshot Shotshells

One of the great values in shotgun deer loads. A combination of heavy cushioning behind the shot column and a granulated polymer buffering helps maintain pellet roundness for tight, even patterns. Packed in 5-round boxes.

"I own an H&R Pardner pump with a 28" barrel with a Primo's DEAD DEER choke tube and get great patterns using Remington 3" #4 BUCK out to 45 yard. And they burn clean also. Would highly recommend for those who hunt fox & coyote with a shotgun."

Excellent ammunition

"I have a 11-8 Super mag that I hunt with. Before that I was using a 870 super mag. I have only ever used the 3 1/2 inch 00 buckshot in both of them. This year I was in a tree stand hunting deer. It was probably going to be the last ime out hunting this season. I hadn't seen anything to shoot at all season. I saw a deer coming in from about 150 yards walking in my general direction. When he got about 40 yards away it looked like he was going to turn away from me. I generally won't shoot that far away, but something told me to go ahead. I put the bead on him, pulled the trigger and at that distance it still lifted it off the ground when it hit. When we butchered it I'd say that at about at least 14 of the pellets hit it and alot of them when clean through the deer, because there were holes from the pellets on the opposite side. That has confirmed my belief that I will not use anything but Remington ammunition, and not hesitate to take a shot even a little further fo fear of only wounding it."

"These buckshot loads are hard hitting and reliable. I get tight, even patterns without excessive recoil or blast. I use the single ought load for defense use at my rural home, and these Remington shells give me the performance I need at a reasonable price."

"I've tested Remington's #4 Buckshot and found it extremely effective for home defense - powerful - the purpose for which I purchased this ammo. Penetration and knock-down power are awesome; also, the recoil is very manageable in both 2 3/4" and 3" shotshells in my 12ga Savage pump."

"I hunt deer with a shotgun alot and shoot both 3 1/2 and 3 inch shells. These shells put alot of pellets in a deer or a target at 40 yards using a full choke. For the price you cant beat this shell."

Deadly Shots

"Very Tight pattern out of a 3 1/2 inch load. I never had any animal get away while using this shell in the #4 Buckshot load and the 00 buckshot load. The recoil is a reasonable for the shell but I deal with it. My gun is also light as well. I have a Harrington and Richardson 12 Gauge and it only weighs 5 pounds. That explains the recoil. I always use the Buckshot loads in the full choke. Nothing tighter. The heavier the gun the less recoil you might have with experiencing these shells. These shell I only use on coyotes and foxes and other small furbearers."

More Killpower for less money

,
February 22, 2007

"I have used this type of shotgun load for years and it has never failed me. I usually use 12 Gauge 3 inch 00 Buckshot for Coyotes, foxes, porcupines, and various other things. The distance on the shot is more than I had expected. I shot a coyote at 75 yards and killed it. I was using a full choke when I took the shot. I must have gotten lucky on the shot because four of the fifteen pellets hit it and knocked it down. The price is one that I can not beat."

Simply the BEST!

"As a former Marine and Police Chief I am picky about what I use in a CQB/Home defense shotgun. I have found that this load gives you the best chance of being able to penetrate items you may have to shoot through to stop a subject. In 12ga, a 3in, #4 shot is outstanding in perfomance for my short barrel Mossberg 500."
