"Great hooks...for the money.
The barbs are somewhat on the 'small' side, so if your not the type to remove the hook barb for the sake of catch and release, then this may be of concern.
The hooks are sharp enough, the points turn inward towards the shank ever so slightly and these hooks tend to bend open easier than some other, more expensive brands will, but not so much as to be of any concern.

"Great for texas rigging worms or creature baits. They might not be as sharp as a trokar, or as strong as a Mustad. But for the price difference, these hooks are still very sharp and reasonably strong and deffinitely worth their weight in gold."

"This is a strong and sharp hook. I bought the 4/0 & 5/0 size and use it mostly to rig the BPS Beaver Bug. I don't find I need a TroKar style hook with collar to keep the beaver in place. The collar just tears up a bait more than anything else.
This hook could also be used for worming and most other soft plastics where you would rather use a straight shank than a "J" type hook, even frogs that are flater, or live bait if you go that route occasionally.
On sale at 99 cents, they were a steal, but still a good buy when not on sale."

"I recently went back to the straight shank round bend hooks for some of my plastic worm fishing. I find these XPS round bend hooks to be ultra sharp and really strong. The gap on these hooks are really big which is really nice for rigging thicker baits like senkos and creature baits. The wide gap along with the straight shank design also lets you set the hook as hard as you want and be confident that the hook will find it's mark. You simply won't find a better value in round bend straight shank hooks for bass fishing. Bass Pro Shops got it right this time!"

"for 25 of these great hooks at $5.00 & change this is the hook for me. i buy my own shrink tubing at any auto store and make my own lure keeper's. i realize there are factory hooks that come with the lure keeper's already on the hook, but at this price i choose to make my own. plus, it gives me something to do while i check every hook in the pack. i don't fish for a living so i don't need the pricey hook's from japan. i spend my money on GAS & oil for my truck and boat. i give these hooks 5 stars for good reason, thier good hooks! one pack of shrink tubing will work for a whole lot of hooks---"

"I have used this hook for wacky rigging worms all summer long. It works great. Super sharp point and won't straighten out. Seemed to hang on to the bass, even the big ones. I would buy this brand of this hook over any similar ones. I have some other ones I bought that would rust up really easily and break. 5 stars for this one."
