Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
"i take these things to every body of water i fish. they work great and are easy to see. they dont drift due to the heavy weight. they for sure help me to stay on top of the fish. if im casting for crappie and i catch a couple in a row, ill throw this out and it keeps me 100% accurate."

It does not move arround.

,
March 26, 2011
By JoeDee
from Southern California
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well
"I don’t have expensive sonar equipment on my boat. Therefore utilizing buoys is a must for me in order to meet me to put more fish in my boat. This buoy does not move or drift. Therefore it makes it easy to keep my boat on location I can drop as much as six buoys. I will drop the first one few yard away from the structure and as I fish around it dissecting the bottom I continue to drop more buoys. As I do this I also make notes on my maps. They are very useful and like I said before they are not move by wind or water current."

Keep that spot on the spot

,
March 11, 2011
By MaxFish
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
"great way to keep track of that spot on the spot. Sometimes fish are congregated in a very small area. I use these religiously when I hook up to mark the spot. I may not alway drop it on the exact spot, but as I work around the bouy and get strikes/fish, I take note of my proximity to the first bouy & typically drop a second one. On occasion, I'll drop a third if a trolling approach or retrieve direction is important. For a few bucks this can be the difference between limiting out or catching dozens for catch-release or just having a day long boat ride to burn gas."

Works a little too well

By boilermaker
from Mongtomery, IL
Advantages: Performs well, Quality
Disadvantages: draws a crowd
"These work great, but like others have said, check the knot.
The only downside with these is that when you kick one overboard everyone else knows you're on fish!!

Good But Could be Improved

,
July 12, 2010
By BigEddie
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design
Disadvantages: Durability
"This product works well... unwinds easily when you throw it out unlike some of the dumbbell shaped buoys I have used before. Only problem I encountered is the weight wasn't tied on well and came off of one of the buoys. Check the knots on the weight before using."

good buoy, good price

,

By Hnaf

Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money
"Following the advice of a number of others that have reviewed this product I checked the knot holding the weight onto the string. Both needed attention. Aside from that they have been great. Easy to use and minimal unwinding once you have it set so that it keeps where you put it."

No need to triangulate land marks again

,
March 30, 2010

"These bouys worked great. I even forgot and left one behind to troll the bank and fish. An hour later I went back to retrieve it andf it was still in the same location I dropped it. Previous reviews helped me in the fact that the knots to the weights when received are very weak. You need to tie a better knot to the the weigts upon receiveing them."

"I prefer these to the rounded style, they tend to hold position better in rough water. They don't continue to release line and drift away from the spot you marked."

0 for 2

,
April 23, 2009
By Joewildlife

Disadvantages: Durability
"On one of mine, first time out, the anchor came off the string and it is still at the bottom of the lake. I guess I should have checked the knot. On the other, it is taking on water and I used it less than 4 days. I'm going to drill holes in them and fill them with insulating foam so they wont sink. Look elsewhere for quality marker buoys."

"Purchased a two pack of the green glow buoys. After flipping them in the water to mark a break I turned to find one had sunk and the other was filling with water rapidly. Unusually poor quality for Bass Pro Products."

"I love these buoys. I have 2 Green buoys and I fish the Potomac River it can have a very strong current. I just used them again yesterday while finding new humps and the current was running hard through the creek I was fishing. I tossed the buoy and fished around it for almost 2 hours and when I trolled the boat ocer to pick up the buoy it was still exactly wher i threw it. Same bottom and everything. So These buoys to me are well worth it."

"I really like these for just throwing out when going by a spot. They seem to work a little better than other shapes as they have less tendancies to drift while unspooling. Nice thing is they aren't too expensive when ya kinda forget one at the end of the day."
