"Shallow running Rogue lures are not available in local stores. They can be the best bait this time of the year in the correct water. I had 1 from years ago and compared the new ones to the old one by rotating after every catch. they all worked great with a slight edge in performance to the "Bream" and "Gold" color patterns."

"I have been using rogues for over 20 yrs and even had Smithwick build me some gold rogues yrs ago. This one I ordered , the bass was on a smaller type bait and we caught over 50 fish on them. My partner won the Tournment with 5 fish that weighed around 27 lbs on the rogue. The baits are of high quality, run true and yes they catch fish. Of course you can always spend 40.00 for a custome jerk bait and watch us catch fish and that is what happened in the Tourment. I would really like some more gold rogure if you could talk someone in to making them."

"Great lure, especially from the shore. All my biggest bass have come on this lure. I mainly fish a shollow, weed infested lake and this lure is deadly from prespawn until the water dips below 60 degrees. In my home lake I've caught large mouth and blue gill, on others I've caught spots. Works suprisingly well in small rivers for trout, from rainbows to browns and brookies. The bream color imitates a brook trout, this color also works well during any stage of the spawn. Just cast along the shore to bedding bass and in the middle of the pockets for pre and post spawners."

Disadvantages: Durability, gold with white belly very hard to find., plastic lip tends to dislodge from body.
"Have used the gold w/ white belly with bragging results. Great on sunny or cloudy days. I fish mostly shallow water above grass beds and the fish just cannot resist this lure. Fished slowly and as jerk bait it is a great lure. I fish this lure 90% of the time on the water."

"Ive fished several different colors of this product, but if your a bass fisherman in early spring, slap this on!! Talk about a cant miss lure..? this thing is more money than my job!! I have caught numerous largemouths in the 3-5lbs range..., daily! No joke. I have never found a lure with bigger production in april-may. Excelent body roll, flash, and jolting slashing movements!! I live in Vermont and do most of my fishing here, and know plenty about cold water.. this lure brings em in.... I have only 1 knock on this puppies, and its not as durable as i would like. I have broke off a bunch of lips on these bad boys...., and even had a largemouth pull out the rear hooks and eyelit screw,, in its drfense, the bass had to be pushin 8lbs with severe thrashing and jumping>>>>>>> Bank on this lure,, I do!!!"

"This lure is good when fishing in the sun. I find that the chrome blue color works the best. When the bass see that shinning lure in the sun they will strike. I gave it a four because the paint comes of after a while."
