Customer Reviews for Zoom Zoom® Mag Finesse Worms

Zoom Zoom® Mag Finesse Worms

There are plastic baits, and then there are Zoom baits. The difference is undeniable. For those who love to fish--and catch--there can be no other choice. Every Zoom soft plastic bait is wholly realistic, super-soft to the touch (for the extra action needed to pull that reluctant money fish) and salt-impregnated to hold even the most tentative bite. Zoom's Mag Finesse Worms are the way to go when finicky fish and cold water dictate a finesse approach. Deadly on a Texas or Carolina rigs, the soft but durable Mag Finesse Worms produce an enticing action that's excellent at provoking strikes from suspended bass. Plus, the Mag Finesse Worm's heavy salt formula encourages fish to hold the bite.

Great Plastic Bait

Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money
Disadvantages: Durability
"I would recommend this product to anyone that fishes for bass. I have caught all 3 species of black bass on this bait including my biggest largemouth to date. I never get in the boat or fish period without a pack of these near by."

"First time trying one of these worms, I had it wacky rigged on a 3/0 Gammy hook. I wasn't having any real success, but it seemed like a dead point in the day. All of a sudden, WHAM, my lure gets SLAMMED. I thought it was a flathead catfish because the fish kept trying to dive. I was reeling it in faster than I should have, and got a glimpse of this fish. My friends yelled to "beach it," so I dragged the fish up on the shore. Sure enough, it was a BIG snakehead, weighing in at 14lbs. Would definitely recommend these worms for big fish."

"Zoom has produced a winner with this one. I've caught my biggest Largemouth to date along with 2 other decent bass. Green pumpkin is the color that I use. Going to get some more for a friend of mine and maybe some more in some version of Watermelon. This bait really shines on a shaky head (screw lock) or a Charlie Brewer slider jig head."

"Great worm when you want to show the fish a different profile. These are heavier than most worms so you can fish them Texas rigged when the wind is up and still feel what's going on."

Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Quality
Disadvantages: needs more in a pack
"These worms are undoubtedly the best in my tackle bag, they ALWAYS produce fish. I throw em texas rigged, and anywhere around cover, rocks, trees, ect. My favorite color is green pumpkin, and you can use it in super clear water, or really stained water. I have caught all the was from half pound bass, up to a few great 4 pounders! You can also catch numerous fish on one worm, as they are very durable!"

Awesomeness

,
May 19, 2011
By JoPa

Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Quality
Disadvantages: needs a few more per pack.
"These larger finesse style worms are awesome. Got my first pack, and caught my first fish on them within minutes. Texas-rig, these guys and flip 'em anywhere there's cover: from grass, rock, to docks. Slow fall 'em, twitch 'em, or wriggle 'em down deep they'll catch those fish that seem hard to catch.
Magnums are great for those fish that just want a little more meat on their food compared to the regular finesse worms.

Great Dropshot Bait

"I got these solely to use as dropshot baits and they worked like a charm. They have a little larger profile than the average ones so they tend to get better quality fish. My favorite colors are Watermelon Red and Houdini. It’s hard to beat the quality of Zoom baits."

"I've tried this particular worm on the lake I fish, but have not had any success to date. Deep, clear lake with no grass. Primarily rock and some standing timber. I think if I use them again, I may try them as a senko. I'm thinking this is a better item around grass."

Magnum Worm for Magnum Bass

,
November 12, 2010
By Jig4Bass
from Champaign, Ill.
Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality, good durability for soft plastic
"Got my first Bass yesterday that weighed 3.57 lbs. (lethal size) on this cigar-like worm in 53 degree water. Purchased the Wtrmln. Candy Red which looks almost black with red flakes unless you look at it in the sun.
Used a 4/0 Mustad ultra-point 1/8 oz. weighted hook which was just the right size for this 5" worm in 3-5 ft water. It has a nice flutter on the drop, and a sassy flick to the bulb tail as it heads down.
No scent that I could detect (typical for Zoom), but good salt. Not a ton of colors, but all the popular ones, including Red Bug and even Black.
I think you will like this worm especially when you want something a little more meaty on the menu."

"I have started to use the shaky head jigs. That is why I'm writtting this review. I use the Zoom Mag Finesse Worms in watermelonseed color. They are the best in my opinion. I hook them up and toss in the grass and weeds. They held up great too. When you try them you'll feel the same way. Now go get a pack.
They helped me to place second and got big bass in my club's tournament."

Great worm!

"Zoom Mag Finesse worms are very versatile. It can be fished weightless like a Zoom Fluke, used wacky style, fished on a Texas rig, and even works on a shakey head. My best results have come while fishing the worm slowly. The colors that have worked the best for me are Black, June Bug, and Baby Bass."
