Horrible!

,
January 2, 2012
By CamoCop
from North Central Florida
Disadvantages: Performance, Quality, Durability
"i had this product installed on my last bow. when shooting i could never keep my bow sighted in. my point of impact kept changing up and down. turns out that this nock/loop kept sliding up and down on my string when at full draw. no matter how tight i got the screws, it would not stay in place. best thing i did was to throw this in the garbage and go to a basic string D-Loop."

Works fine

,
October 13, 2010
By Plugnickel
Advantages: Performs well
Disadvantages: screws are phillips head
"I like the solid feel in my release. This does help to align the peep.
I would suggest changing the screws to alan head. The Philips head sockets are easily stripped. Because the thing is so smajl it is difficlut to keep square with the screw driver when tightening. This causes the screw driver to slip. It is very important to keep the screws tight as the shock and vibration of bowstring can cause the nock to turn, especially since the bowstring is waxed. It is difficult to get tight enough."

Disadvantages: Performance, equipment wear
"This product may work with some bows, but my setup guy said these put way too much stress on your equipment and may void your warranty....stick with a string loop and keep it simple."

Rock solid Nok.

Advantages: Ease of use, Durability, Performs well, Value for money, Quality
"Nok for dummy, not exactly. But anyone out there don't like the frequency of changing their nok all the time, this is The One. Its slim line and robust design also aids your bow's quiteness and appearance. Once installed and turned, don't forget to apply a drop of Loctite 242, and tie the two tinny screws down really hard. Otherwise the nok will gradually moves upward, and you will lost your perfected nocking point."

Great Product

,
October 27, 2009
By HunterKen
from Massachusetts
Advantages: Durability, Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"I have been using one of these for over four years now and find it reliable and quiet. I recently, purchased a new bow that came with a string loop from the factory as a complete package. When I was shooting it at the pro shop the loop kept changing directions after each shot. The pro tightened the loop, approx 40 shots afterwards at home outside, the string loop broke away. I went back to the pro shop and they were going to install a new one, when I advised them to put this Tru-lock on as I never experienced a failure as I did with the string loop.
I will keep using this product as It has never failed me. Happy that I didn't have my sights on a nice whitetail when that loop broke away.

"All the complaint stem from a lack of fully tightening when installing. If you don't rock solid tighten the nok it moves twists and turns. If you install properly it never moves and the real pleasure to use.I've had one on a bow for 2 years before I changed the string and it is true under the clamping area the serving was crushed but it never failed."

Worst Nok ever

Disadvantages: string wear
"After buying this nok my accuracy improved for a while until it wore out the serving on my bow, then the nok wouldn't stay in place. I'm going to put a string loop on my bow instead."

"installed this on my bow and boy was it noisy kept peep inline but i noticed it moved on the string. when i took my bow to be restrung the tech told me it puts bad strain on your bows string and would void my warranty not sure if it does for sure but use a traditional rope loop quiet and affordable dont waste your 12 dollars"

"This is perfect. If you use a peep sight without a tube, this will keep it lined up everytime. It will not break like a string loop and is very durable. Easy to install and a must have for all archers."

Has its pros and cons

,
October 27, 2008
By themick31

"I am currently using the Tru-Nok and like the durability of it. It's more reliable than string but it does increase noise. I will likely be going back to a string nok because I am afraid that this will spook deer beyond 20 yards affecting my kill shot with a jump or shooting over deer due them ducking at the noise. It does keep the peep in-line which is nice so there are pros and cons to this. If you are okay with the noise then it works very well."

Warning Warning Warning

"I placed this Nok on my Fred Bear instinct after the string D-loop started to wear. I wish I hadn't. I use a Scott Shark release and the Nok would catch on the end of my release. I lost two arrows because of the poor construction of the Nok. When I had it replaced, the Nok had moved 3/8 of an inch and that was only from three shots. I talked to another guy who at one time had the same Nok and he had the same problem. Stay away from this product!!!"

Adds noise

,
October 2, 2008
By dacheedah

"My bow was set up with one of these and while my bow was fast and accurate, it was noisy. At another shop I told the tech it was a noisy bow and he disagreed and looked at my bow. He said it was the nok, he changed it out and replaced it with a string loop and, no noise. The tech said it was a common complaint.
save your money!!!"

"The t.r.u. nok will forever be on my bow. t.r.u. has come up with another winner with this, flawlwss construction pretty sweet lookin and it'l never break like a rope loop. I used a rope loop for years without knowing any better till one day when i was drawing back the loop snapped and i punched myself in the face! Then and there i vowed to find something better and came with this and haven't been dissapointed yet!"

Great product!

"I bought this because I was tired of tying string loops. I never trusted them. Not to mention the problems with my peep coming back crooked. This product solved everything! Absolutely every time I draw back, the peep is perfectly square with no tubing. The release feels solid on the loop and it even feels easier to drawback! I have found no difference in accuracy and have killed a turkey from 25 yds since making the change. Once you try this product you'll wonder why you haven't been using one forever!"
