"I purchased the Garmin 205 prior to going on vacation. I also put maps in the truck just in case. We never opened a map on the 2500 mile trip. It was very accurate and well worth the price!"

"My wife and I have used this model for the past several months. We've both found it extremely addictive! I wanted it so it could re-route me if I missed turns in unfamiliar places, and it does that well. We also like that it can show points of interest or gas stations along our route, with an ability to easily detour to them. "Fastest time" routes are a little off sometimes, but that's only because it calculates based on the speed limit. I can't think of anything else I'd want in a navigation system. Get it, and you'll find yourself using it every time you get in the car!"

"Very accurate gps system. I have had no problems with this unit. Battery life is pretty long and if need be plug into the 12volt adapter that comes with it. Its not really an issue. As far as finding your favorite lake, need say no more you should already know where it is anyway. The cool thing is that it tells you your mph and local speed limit locations. The wide screen may not be needed but it is awesome. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I don't understand why it doesn't come with an ac adapter."

"nuvi 205 is not for the sportsman looking for directions to his favorite lake. The Garmin nuvi 205 provides little and or no info on state parks ,lakes ,marinas and there wherabouts. It is easy to operate and performs well in the city, though it does choose routes that are not always prudent."
