tough boot,September 26, 2009
By treetrimmerfrom Northwest IL Close to God's country
Advantages: Comfortable, Quality, Style/Design, True to fit, Value for money
"I have owned two pair of these wonderful boots now and had 2 years of dependable service from each. Sizing is spot on, no worrying about whether to order larger or smaller size. Pick your proper size with confidence. As others have stated there is no break- in time, never have they failed in water protection, and they are warm as long as you're on the move. I use them everyday for work, except for extremely hot days. I have another pair of redhead boots for those days. I am not a hunter but I am in the timber every day working on bulk power transmission lines for the utility in NW Illinois. I have encounterd every kind of terrain this state has to offer and my boots never let me down, even climbing trees and I don't mean into deer stands either. I was skeptical on my first pair because of the price, but soon after that was put to rest as I feel this has been the best boot for my money. Trust me , over the years I have bought my share of other BIG NAME brand boots and not been nearly as satisfied with their performance. As I stated ealier I have other redhead boots for summer, this brand lives up to reputation."

Well Worth The Money,September 20, 2009

Advantages: Comfortable, Quality, Style/Design, True to fit, Value for money, perfect for more than just hunting
"When i saw these boots, i thought, yea, like theyre that great, and yea, the are that great. I bought them as a winter hunting boot around mid december, but in late january the snow was already partially melted, and there was slush, i thought oh great , not my feet will get cold and wet. But no, i went almost all the way to the top of the boots, and didnt get wet, or cold so really, a great choice for boot. Exceptional grip for slipper and rough surfaces."

Good buy,January 19, 2009
By jpktfrom East central, Mississippi
"Before I purchasede this boot I did tons of research and even tried it on a couple times in the store. I have owned the boots for 1 year now and feel they have been the best boots I have ever owned. They have not leaked a drop of water in the whole year. They are warm as long as I stay on my feet. When I stop and the temp is below freezing I do get chilly toes. I do wear the boots every day and use them in the woods every day. They have truly been put to the test. but I was disappointed in only a few things. The toe guard began peeling within a few months which in the beginning scared me a little because I thought they might start leaking, but they didn't. They really do not look anything like the boots I bought now after a year of torture, the leather is cracking a little and the soles are beginning to wear. The folks that said they owned them for years and rarely see any change obviously do not hunt every day and scout on the days they do not hunt. All in all it is a great boot."

One heavy duty hunting boot!,January 2, 2009
By redstaplerfrom Ozark Mountains
"I bought this boot as my heavy-duty hunting boot and it fits the bill. With just a couple of hours wearing them around the house, they were broken in!
It has a Vibram sole and a toe cap to protect it on the rocks. The leather is supple but tough, as tough as the toughest cow hide in my view.
The laces and eyelets are heavy-duty and the fit is good and wide for thick socks or wide feet -- not that these boots need thick socks. The stitching on the top of the tongue gusset was a bit rough, but ok. The gusset itself is firm but soft leather that doesn't rub.
With just a pair of light hiking socks, they are plenty warm. With a pair of Merino wool socks ... well, you’re ready of that idle cold that comes from sitting for hours. They're not as heavy as they look out of the box, which is surprising.
Here's a tip if there's a crease or leather junction pressure point that bothers you. Simply take a C-clamp and lightly clamp it for three or four hours. Surface-protect it with another piece of leather. Works like a charm. Happy hunting!"

Excellent boots,October 4, 2008
By UncleBillfrom Northern Michigan
"This is the best pair of boots I have ever owned. I hunt in northern Michigan from October to the end of December. My feet do not sweet while walking as they wick away moisture. Also while sitting in the coldest conditions they stay nice and warm. I also had to walk across a stream tracking a buck. The water was just under the top of the boots. I was shocked that they did not let any water in at all. If you want a good pair of boots you can not go wrong with these."
