"I chose this model because of the different style foot pedal and the 24V power. I like the side to side steering layout on the pedal rather than the rocker style of the others. I always seamed to turn the boat in windy conditions when I lost my balence with that type. The power button is in the middle of this one which makes it nice in one way. I think it could be a little bit higher so you can feel it better to differenciate it from the steering buttons on each side of it. Every once in a while I'll turn the motor instead of hitting the power button. I think I'll try putting something on top of it to make it stand out better. That would be my only complaint. I Love it."

Not what I expected.,October 1, 2009

Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Performance, Quality, this unit seemed to have a mind of it's own.
"The quick deploy is quick alright, if you don't mind the head of the trolling motor slamming into the bracket. And to retract the trolling motor, you must manually grab the head of ther trolling motor and lock into place. On my 1st fishing trip using this trolling motor, it seemed to have a mind of it's own, It would turn by itself and engage the motor..and no, it wasn't on auto pilot."

Disappointing,May 26, 2009

"There was a problem early on with the motor responding to the foot pedal. You could hear the click but first no response to steering and eventually it quit altogether. After five trips for warranty repair, it just died again after the warranty has expired. I spent almost as much time hauling to and from servicing as I did using it to fish.
When it did work, the auto pilot was great but the universal sonar never got tested after the first year since my old depth finder quit...at least I always thought it was the depthfinder.
This was the previous model with 80 lb thrust but it just turned two last August."

"I can't say enough. This is the best trolling motor I have ever owned. It works great in the windest condition's and performs excellent in normal weather. No vibrations, cuts through the biggest lilly pads, easy to control!"
