You won't be dissapointed, June 26, 2009
By ArizonaGuy from East Mesa, Arizona

Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design
Disadvantages: needs more accessories attached

"At first I was scepticle about the tube because I recieved it as a gift for xmas from my Wife. You know how that can be. She really didn't know what to look for, but the fly fishing shop told her it would be a very good upgrade from my U shaped tube. I love float tubing the Rim lakes, which I must say the Fish Cat 4 does the job. This tube glides across the water. Much faster than my other U shaped tube. Wind can be a barrier on these lakes, but the Fish Cat is easy to manuver. Con is that the wind can move you pretty fast because you do sit up higher out of the water, which is a plus. I can see much better whats happening on top of the water in the distance. There is plenty of storage in the side pockets. I do wish that the tube had more smaller eccessories like Velcro strips or rod holder to hold your rod while changing flies. Also a strap or something to hold your net. Like another review mentioned, the upgraded mesh platform infront of you does have a tendency to colapse, but it serves well enough. Over all the tube is a much better tube than my traditional U shaped tube."

Best tube on the market!!, May 18, 2009
By CDub from Corona, California

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
Disadvantages: none

"I have been a float2ber for about 15 years now and have used many many tubes on the market and by far this is the best tube I have ever used. I live in the inland empire in Southern California and have to deal with the Santa Ana winds on our lakes and this tube handles the waves and currents with ease. Side pockets will hold two 3600 plastic storage boxes for your tackle needs. This is a great tube for people with lower back problems with the adjustable back rest. I will never use another tube and may not have to for many years with the way this one is built, plus a five year warrenty. Fish Cat hit the nail on the head with this one. BPS (Rancho Cucamonga) Guys recommended this tube over much more expensive tubes and they were correct, thanks guys!!"

Great float tube, May 13, 2009
By Kojak76 from SC

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design

"This tube sits much higher in the water than the U shaped tubes I’ve used, and the difference in casting and moving around is very noticeable. The higher positioned seat makes fly casting much easier, and offers more leverage when fighting fish. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the product.

The pockets are a bit small, and the stripping apron has a tendency to collapse now and then, but these are small gripes that don’t amount to much. It’s well made and a pleasure to use.

"This tube is fast ! I can really move across a lake with this tube and force fins. It is very maneuverable and handles well in wind. Tube has not punctured yet. Only drawbacks are backward propulsion and lack of storage."

"I was a little skeptical about purchasing a float tube in general as I was not sure how difficult or easy it would be to operate. I also did not know which float tube would be ideal for me because I wanted one to fish the bays here in Southern California as well as freshwater. I was pretty much set on the Togiak pontoon model. I was helped by a Bass Pro Shop associate in the fly shop and while he liked the Togiak, he suggested the Fish Cat 4-LCS. He pointed out the heavy duty pvc bottom, 5 year warranty and other features like the sitting height. Between that and actually being able to inspect the display model and feel how solid this thing was, I was sold. I bought a dual action pump, safety gear ( I recommend the rod holder, a floatation vest, small air horn, small floating flashlight.....you never know....and floating key chain for your car key ).I already own swim fins for body boarding and they work great. All in all, about a $210 investment. I set out the very next day to the Spanish Landing park in the San Diego bay, a typically calm water area loaded with Spotted Bay Bass and other species. My very first time filling it and It took me all of 4 minutes (even quicker the next day). I filled the pockets with my gear and attached the rod holder, easy as well. Get it in the water, put my fins on, sit down and start kicking. I was amazed at how easy this thing cruised across the water, even the wake from passing boats. You sit so high above the water, if you plan on wearing shorts, you'd better put some sunblock on your knees. Let me tell you, this thing is WELL worth the money. It's like fishing out of a recliner! I caught a ton of Spotties. Don't wait around wondering if this thing will improve your fish count, IT WILL. I can't wait to take it to some of my local lakes. AWESOME PRODUCT!"

Great Investment, May 5, 2008
By texasrangersfan from Oklahoma

"I just bought this tube a couple of weeks ago. This tube is dependable and is tough. I have been extremely impressed with the ease of getting around on the water. I have used this tube several times and am pleased with it more and more each time I use it. You will not be disappointed with this product. Plus with the 5-year warranty that comes with this product, you will have no worries. My fishing buddy has a different tube than this one, and he has had to patch it several times already. He has had no problems with this tube since he has upgraded."

Good, dependable stuff, December 29, 2007
By Flyfishguy from Rocky Mountains

"I have been using a Fish Cat 4 for over five years and find it to be the best float tube I have ever used. The "V" Hull gets you through the water with the greastest of ease and the Boston Valves located at the back of each main bladder deflates or inflates in a few minuites. The heavy PVC Bottom is tough as nails and this boat has plenty of storage. The Fish Cat 4 LCS has a new and improved stripping apron which makes this boat even better."
