"Picked up a 7' worm set up, fast action, mod-heavy rod and 6.3:1 reel, and I am very impressed by this rig. The reel is smooth, has a flippin switch, and absolutely outperforms other comparable reels from other brands. "I purchased a 7 ft. Medium action rod with the 6.3 gear ratio reel I believe. Either way it doesn't matter on the details. I love this rod almost as much as my Fenwick walleye spinning rod. Definately my favorite baitcasting rig. I have caught a ton of bass on it and the lighter tip makes the little taps very noticeable when fishing soft plastics. I have yet to catch any fish this year on spinnerbaits. It works great for crankbaiting as well. I landed some northern pike last week on it trolling and casting up to 30 inches. It is a good all around rod and the flipping switch works great. You do have to remember to turn it off when casting. It is worth every penny and I recommend this as a great buy. I wasn't a big Quantum fan this is my first and they have impressed me very much with this combo."

"I bought a 6'6 medium action with 6.2.1 reel, and im here to say the reel is GREAT, but the rod isnt. Its good for a couple of weeks,but it broke on me the other day. I was throwing a spinnerbait and i go to set the hook and SNAP, lucky that fish loved my KVD scorcher lure and i was able to land him (dont buy the 6'6 medium action). Im gonna get the 7'0 medium heavy action, cause i believe KVD products."

"I could go on and on about how much I love this combo. I am a younger angler so I don't have that big of a budget and I can only get a rod maybe once a year. The reel is incredable smooth and I can cast a mile. I am still getting used to the flipping switch but when I do I know it will be very helpful. All I can say is that this is incredable combo for the price and is perfect for the low budget angler. I think I'm going to buy the KVD Spinning Combo too. Bottom line, I would recommend this to anyone and this is a great combo."

"I have two KVD baitcast combo's. I absolutely love the reels. The rods on the other hand, are going to snap any day now. I use 1/4 oz crankbaits and during the retreive, I can actuallky hear the rods creeking. Let me add that Im using the 6'6 med action. I totally believe in KVD and Quantum so I will never give up on their products. If you buy the KVD combo setup, buy a MED/HEV action rod. The medium is just too flimsy. KVD is the MAN!!!"
