"I was using a graphite rod and was losing some fish after hook up. I changed to Kevin's haven't lost one yet. It has a great feel. The control is good,and if you made a minor mistake you have not lost the fish."

"For my money this rod can not be beat. I thought about buying this rof for 2 weeks trying to make up my mind if it was worth the money and i can tell you now i was blown away with it.I have been Bass fishing for 35 years and i can't remember buying a better rod and the price was great. I plan to buy 4 more to replace some older rods i have now."

"If you're scared of Quantum Rods because of a prior experience there's no need to fear this rod, it performs very well and has the perfect amount of give and backbone, flipping in 4 or 5 pound bass is no problem for this stick, very nice purchase, low cost, what's not to like?
If it was a blank-through handle i would be even happier, that's about all i could ask for."

"This is one of the best rods that I have ever purchased. I purchased the 7' Medium rod and I can definitely tell the difference in the action of the crankbait lures when using this rod. It casts very far, gives the lures plenty of action, tip is very flexible and is tough enough to handle a good fight. I plan on purchasing another one. Great job Quantum and KVD!"

Nice Fiberglass Rod,November 13, 2008

"Bought a 6'6" medium early this spring and greatly enjoyed it throughout the summer and especially this fall. Though it is designed for lipped crankbaits, I prefer throwing and burning medium 1/2 to 5/8 oz lipless crankbaits with this rod. The larger 3/4 oz baits are really a bit too much for this rod.
I like use this fiberglass rod for this tactic because I seem to have more successful hooksets, especially when using flourocarbon line. Fiberglass just seems to have the right amount of give.
When the rod is somewhat loaded on a fast retrieve with a decent size bait, I find that it does have plenty of sensitivity - so not only do I not miss the fish on hookset, but I think I feel most of them too.
This said, the rod is really intended for lipped crankbaits and it does work rather well with them too. However, just to admit my bias here in order to give an honest review, I prefer moderate action graphite rods for regular lipped crankbaits paired with slower retrieve reels because they are just more sensitive than fiberglass. I have just found that this 'slow' tactic with that type of equipment works best in the some of the pressured areas in which I fish. Of course, it may not in yours.
This said, and despite my bias, IMHO this is a darn good rod, I have no real complaints about it, and I do recommend it."

"KVD got it right. I can launch my cranks a country mile with it, it has a light sensitive tip with enough flex to allow a fish to inhale the lure but has enough back bone to control a fish during a fight. Best of all, compaired to some of the other rods I own this one is very reasonably priced. If your looking for a rod to through crank baits from 1/4 to 5/8 once, look no further because this is the one."

"I have used the 7' crank for about 2 weeks and like it for the price. Good feel and not stiff in the tip...Good response to my crank baits...I have nice reels but also tried it with a BassPro baitcaster and it worked well with long cast...I am going to buy another for when I have guest on my boat..."
