Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money

"I fish with Falcon rods almost exclusively. I have some older stuff but everything I buy lately is Falcon. I just upgraded from an older Cara to the new 7'3" "Amistad" rod and I absolutely love it. The value when compared to the higher end Loomis or St Croix is great. The handle is really comfortable and the action is great for a variety of baits. Not nearly as stiff as Falcon makes it sound. I can fish a 1/4 oz shakey head or a 5" swimbait on this rod!! Will be buying more as soon as I can liquidate some of my older stuff."

Tough, Sensitive & Well Made in USA, August 7, 2009
By CowboyFan from Memphis, TN

Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design

"Have three of these and they are among my favorites. Strongly recommended. Tough, sensitive, and extremely well made. Solid value for the cost - IMO comparable or better than the GLoomis GL2 & IMX and St. Croix Avids & Legend Series.

Currently own the following:
1. 7' Heavy Action with a extra-fast tip.
2. 7' Medium Heavy Action with fast tip
3. 6'7" Senko Special Medium Heavy Action

The first two rods are absolutely fantastic. The third I like, but I honestly still don't know what to fully make of it. Haven't used it in the right conditions enough yet.

Overall the rods are slightly heavier than some, but have incredible backbone. I like using the 7' Heavy for frogs, large worms, and big jigs. Haven't used it for Carolina rigs, but I'm sure it would excel in that application as well.

I use the 7' Medium Heavy for worms and larger spinner baits. It does a fine job especially with hard thumping spinner baits. Both rods are more than ample to turn the head and pull a bass out of junk. Of course, the Heavy action does better than the medium heavy action.

The Senko Special is more of finesse rod and works best when casting weightless worms into vegetation that is not so dense or tangled. I have also used it to work slash baits, small buzzbaits, and Texas rigged worms. The slightly shorter length (6'7") allows me to place the baits where I want them. If a rod can be accurate, this one is. Comparatively, it simply does not have the raw power of the other two, which may be clouding my judgment of the rod. The Senko Special is quite light and may be the most sensitive of the three - but these rods are all quite sensitive.

Also, I wasn't real sure about the Fuji ACS reel seats when I first looked at the rods. Frankly, this particular feature delayed my purchase of the rods for some time. This opinion has changed. The contour of the reel seat matches my style of grip perfectly, is less fatiguing, and allows me to feel more vibration than other, more traditional style reel seats.

Overall, these are fine and well constructed rods. If I were a guide, I would likely choose these for use by my clientele. They are just that darn tough and well made.

"just recently purchased this falcon and fell in love with it instantly. aside from it being slightly heavier than my g loomis gl2, the sensitivity is just as good, if not better."

"I have several of these rods and they are good ones. They are sensitive and strong. We have pulled a lot of fish from Sam Rayburn and not one has broke. I can't say that about the All Star rods though."

Falcon 7" Cara Heavy, March 6, 2009
By Hosh29 from Booneville, Ms

"I've put this rod through the ringer from bank fishing to tournament fishing and it is an excellent rod with plenty of power. The only quirk I got is I've had to replace the same eyelet 3 times. It is still worth the money and would highly recommend these rods to anyone."

Now I'm hooked on Falcon, March 4, 2009
By texasflipper from Grapevine, TX

"I just bought my first falcon yesterday. I have been fishing all star rods for the past 7 years. I bought the 7' lizard dragger. I didn't have my worm rod today so just used the c.r. rod instead. This rod is very sensitive. I flipped a 6" grape red flake worm to a stump and caught my first fish on my new falcon. 6lbs! Nice way to start a long relationship, don't you think?"

WOW, what a great rod., January 23, 2009
By Rolltide05 from Destin, FL

"I have fallen in love with the Falcon Cara. Light and super sensative, I can hold it all day and feel every single bite. But I have to say that my favorite aspect of this rod is it's looks. The new, redesigned for 08' Cara's cork butted handle is very nice and of a very high quality. My favorite part of the rod is the great looking matte black rod blank itself. It is just a rod that looks very expensive. Everything about these is what I look for when buying a rod. Falcon, please don't ever change these Cara's b/c I want to be able to buy them forever."

Best casting rod I have owned!, December 3, 2008
By FriscoKid from Frisco, TX

"This is a great rod! I now have five of them. They have replaced all of my other rods for casting.

Excellent sensitivity, amazing feel, and they can throw a mile. This is a great rod. Try one of these at least once, and you won't be disappointed.

"I purchased this rod last month in the 7'6". I now own 14 Falcon rods. I have owned Kistler and others but Falcon remains my pick for a quality rod and reliable performance in the tournaments. If you want the best, buy Falcon."

Falcon Rod CC-4-17M-T7, July 6, 2008
By GREG08

"I recently bought a Falcon rod to try them out. I like the fact that Falcon is an American Made company. I bought rod CC-4-17-T7 which is for lipless crankbaits and medium crank baits. This rod is the best I have ever thrown and I will be replacing all my rods with Falcon T7 Rods....My rod is paired up with a Quantum 7:0:1 PT Tour Edition Burrner reel which is also the best I have ever thrown."
