"Good equipment is necessary to do well in any sport. If you are just starting out this is your reel, if you are an accomplished fly fisher and need a good back up this is your reel, If you are on a budget and are heading to that once in a lifetime Big Game water, Fresh or Salt; This is your reel. "I paired this reel in 5W with a custom 7 1/2' bamboo flyrod. What a dream! Sturdy construction, excellent drag system and casts a mile! Wish I had bought this one a long time ago. The other reels I have are good, but this is already my favorite! Many thanks to Bill and Dave at the Denver Bass Pro Shops for their assistance in helping me pick out the perfect reel for my new flyrod."

"I put this reel on the 9' 5wt TFO pro series and it works great. As a fairly new fly fishermen this reel works very well and is easy to learn on. I can put out long smooth casts and the drag is awsome."

"have been a fan of Lamson reels for several years now but the Knoic surpasses all my expectations for an introductory level reel. This is the tightest cast aluminum reel I have ever seen, it seems as tight as several fully machined brands on the market today and when you put the Lamson Conical Drag in it, this is one low priced reel that can’t be beat. This is one tough reel that I think will last most any “weekend fly flinger” a lifetime without any troubles."

"Purchased the lamson konic in size 2for my 6wt. powell. Used it many times for nymphing and throwing streamers. What an unbeleivable reel. Sealed drag. No more removing the spool to clear sand, pure fishing. I also have the Lamson Velocity reel reel on my 8wt Hardy and the drag is the same. Great price, great quality and very light. Just purchased another one for my 4 wt."

"purchased this reel for my 4wt , price was right and the quality was outstanding. first time out with the new reel hooked into a 16 inch rainbow and the drag was silky smooth and up to strong runs in a heavy current. overall great reel for the money will be getting one for my 6 wt soon!!!!!"
