"i put this trolling motor on my 12 ft. jon boat. the first day and i was more than happy. the second day i left the 2 hp. gas motor at home got about 4 miles from the truck and lost the prop. i like the power of this one i just do not like the paddle back! be sure and retighten everthing on ever trip!"

Good Motor for the Money, February 25, 2009

"I bought this trolling motor last year and have been very pleased with its performance. It pushes my 15 ft two man river boat without a problem. It is great for trolling or getting accross the lake in a hurry. The only drawback has been the screw adjustments on the shaft that control the depth and swivel movement. They are made of plastic with a metal / plastic thumbscrew and do not hold up at all. It malfunctioned on the 2nd day out. I have had to improvise a better solution for both of these. Other than that, a great product."

"I bought this motor two years ago and find it as good as the best. I believe the motor is made by Motor Guide who are also Mercury. The depth adjuster is the weak point on this motor, it is plastic with a thumb screw and it broke soon after I bought it. I replaced it with a plastic split set screw collar. Good motor lots of thrust."

"Got a chance to finally use this motor on Saturday. Wind was blowing 20-30mph. The motor held up very well. Very good power. Excellent value for the price."
