"Had a 4-foot high tent and was tired of having a backacke from being stooped over the whole time, so I decided to look for one I could stand up in. Did a lot of online research, and decided to look at this one in the store. They had one set up, and the salesman assured me that I could put it up myself, so I took it home and tried it.
It was a little bit of a challenge to do alone, but not impossible. Took me about an hour, but that included reading the instructions and sorting out the pieces. (Add another 30 minutes to that if you're going to do all the stakes and velcro pole-holders, which you should do if there might be a wind.) Raising the roof was a bit of a challenge alone (the instructions said two people are reccommended), but I did it.
I have set it up in the campground two different times now. The first attempt must have been hilarious for anyone who was watching. When I started, there was a slight breeze coming in off the lake, but I figured I'd give it a try. After it was laid out, while I was staking down the corners, the wind picked up, and I ended up laying on top of the pile of nylon and holding on with all my might to keep it from blowing away. I finally got it back in the car and decided to try later. I came back that evening after the wind died down and tried again. A nice man came over and offered to help, and it went up fine. (Later that night and I heard someone walking by exclaim, "That's the biggest tent I've ever seen!) --Frankly, I've seen bigger, but it would have been kind of embarrasing if they'd known there was only one person using it. The second night of this trip, it was incredibly windy and the tent wanted to be a sail, but the design of the tent has plenty of places where you stake it down, and it held up just fine. It did bend in on the windward side, but never collapsed, which is more than I can say for several other tents in the campground. I had been worried, but was very pleased with the result. --Someone also offered help the second time I used it, so I don't have much feedback about trying to do it alone, except to say that I was able to do it in the backyard. (If doing it alone, it might help to put a pile of equipment inside under the center so the uplift is started before you try to raise it with the pole.)
The poles do tend to snag a little bit as you slide them through the sleeves, and my advice it to be sure to push them through, not pull. Also, don't over-exert pressure when you're trying to move them through. At some point one of the poles got stuck, and I ended up tearing out the entrance into the sleeve a bit. It has nice webbed-strap reinforcements after the first few inches, though, so I think it will last just fine. (Lesson learned: Don't push hard enough to pull the sleeve out of the seam.)
In addition to the height, the other reason I bought this particular tent was that all of the vents in the tent can be zipped shut if you want, to (theoretically) retain heat. My '08 model has shoe-compartments in the front corners, but I don't see them in the description or in their picture now, so Bass must have taken them out. (I kind of like them.)
The "skylight" on the fly is an interesting feature (see my photo). It's not clear enough to see the stars at night,, but it does give a little more light for seeing around inside during the daytime. I was thought might wake me up in the morning, but with the vent-thingy (techincal term!) up there on the tent zipped shut, and it was fine. I am a little concerned that over time the plastic will breakdown from the effects of the sun, but I figure I can patch it with regular tent canvas if that happens..
If there is no chance of more than a light breeze, I'd say not to mess with staking out ALL of the lines; just the corners should be sufficient. On the other hand, when choosing a campsite, keep in mind that the footprint of the tent itself is 11' x 11', and the lines will add at least a yard in every direction.
The various poles are quite similar, so once you get them all sorted out, I suggest identifying each length with a different piece of colored tape. I read a review elsewhere that said the fly ridge pole pocket wouldn't hold, but I think it's fine (see my photo).
If you're looking for a big tent, I'd definitely reccommend this one. I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can get out and use it again!"

By BillsFishing62from Royse Citty, Texas
"I don't know why everybody has had a problem with this tent. I've used this one all season long. I've had no problem with it leaking in the few storms I have Slept threw, and the tent is large enouth for me and my 3 fishing buddies to be comfortable and store our gear put a small table with 3 lounge chairs with a small television. Its great doesn't whip around in the wind, and keeps us very comfortable."

Run away...,July 25, 2008

"I picked out this tent because of its size and price. It easily fit two queen sized air mattresses and had plenty of room to spare. Unfortunately, either there is something terribly wrong with the tent fabric, or the maufacturing process is seriously flawed. I had to return this tent on TWO SEPARATE OCCASSIONS because there was a 2-3" slice on the top of the first one, and then on the side of the second one. I will not purchasing this tent for a third time."

Very Good Purchase,July 6, 2008

"We really like this tent. Granted, if you have never put up a tent like this, it can be a bit hectic. The instructions tell you that this is a two person job, and it is. The room divider is a joke. Overall, this is a very nice tent with plenty of room."

Tent so so,June 24, 2008
By KellyNfrom Illinois
"We bought this tent because of the size. All in all - it wasn't half bad. It was quite difficult to put together, took us about an hour. The poles are very stretchy and do come apart easily. It did serve it's purpose. It was large enough to fit a queen air mattress, 2 coolers, all of our fishing gear, clothes for 3 days and our bean bag set. (not collapsible). (however there were only 2 of us)
It was difficult to put up do to the poles and inadequate instructions. You must be sure to 'feed' in the poles while keeping the material open so they don't get stuck either. And trying to figure out where the poles go for the fly was a pain as well. We had a bit of rain and noticed the air vents at the bottom of the tent leak near the zipper also. I would recommend this tent if you can deal with the stress that may come along with assembling it."
