"This is the second sit on top kayak that I have owned and I have paddled many others. This kayak is by far my favorite. It tracks very well and once you get it moving it glides effortlessly. Very easy to sit side saddle while fishing. I can stand up in this kayak but wouldn't even think about trying to cast a rod while doing it! This is a very dry riding kayak. There is no water in it when I am paddling and I weigh ~210lbs. With gear the boat is probably loaded to 300 lbs.

Pros: Plenty of storage room; rod pod works great, sonar shield is very useful and functional, high weight capacity to haul everything (including the kitchen sink)

Considerations: I think this kayak would fit the bill for paddlers up to ~300lbs. Any larger than that you would probably be cramped by the rod pod. I recommend going with the rudder. I bought mine without it and quickly realized that it is a necessity for a kayak this size.

Overall, if you are looking for a great fishing kayak with plenty of room for goodies, this one should be at the top of the list."

"This 15' Trident Prowler is the first kayak I have ever owned. At first I didn't know what it would be like to fish out of a kayak. I tried several kayaks to see which one was the best. I found that this kayak by far tracked better than any kayak that I had tried. The Trident Prowler is actually 15' 7.5" long. It is a very long kayak which is great for stability. It is 29' wide which makes it more stealthy than other kayaks. It comes with some great features that other kayaks do not have. For one theTrident Prowler has a storage area underneath for fishing rods. It has a lot of room in the front of the kayak to store things and keep them dry. It also has two rod holders in the back for easy retrieval. I found that the rod pod cover on top was a great place for a Scotty rod holder. The Trident Prowler also comes with a place to put a Humminbird Fish finder and keep it dry . I found this Ocean Kayak very easy to paddle and it is easy to manuever. In my opinion this is one of the funnest ways to fish. If your looking for a kayak to fish in this Trident Prowler is the one for you."
