Stacey King has designed one of the world's great crankin' rods, tested it hard, and proven its mettle through dozens of high-profile tournaments. And while we're committed to keeping his expert innovations, we'll sometimes tweak things to super-size the performance. So even though its unidirectional fiberglass/graphite, thin-wall blank has made the Crankin' Stick one of the lightest, most sensitive crankin' rods available, we went ahead and laid in quality IM-6 graphite throughout--for more consistent vibration transmission; this way you'll get a better feel for what your lure is doing at all times. As always, expect true actions with lots of power and just the right flex, with our "Fiberglass Feeling" tip keeping you in constant control. The contoured Power Hump™ premium cork handle fits your hand comfortably; the XPS® Soft Touch graphite reel seat is light and very strong. Every model has hard aluminum oxide guides and a Pro-Guard™ epoxy finish, for years of heavy-duty fun. Don't sell yourself short...if crankin' is your strategy of choice, Stacy's Crankin Stick is the rod for you! Aciton: ML = Medium Light M = Medium MH = Medium Heavy **=Retractable butt section

Can't Go Wrong!!,October 12, 2009
By RobinPS09from Saint Hedwig, TX
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money, light, geat backbone, fast action tip
"Had trouble finding a good crankin' rod that was "comfortable" to use, until now, as in the past my crankin' rod felt heavy and "thumpy" when I casted it, but that problem is gone. This rod is light, has a great back bone, and a fast action tip to help with those hook ups."

Perfect cranking rod,September 6, 2009
By luresmith
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I have 2 of these rods, 7 ft. med. and 7 ft. med. hvy. and of course I throw crankbaits with them. The first time out I could'nt believe how much farther I could cast but with a lot less effort. Also sensible enough to feel the light strikes. Last week fishing Stockton Lake I was making cast 30 yards farther than my fishing partner and when ask how I was able to do that I said its all in the rod. I have these rods paired with Rick Clunn reels. Anyone looking for a cranking rod try these."

Great Rod,August 24, 2009
By mobassaddictfrom Missouri
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I bought this rod about 10 years ago, it has been fantastic, I think I paid $30 for it! I have the 7 M and it has been put to the test on Wipers, and I've taken it to Mexico and cranked in 5 to 9 pounders all day for 4 days straight. It has a great flexible tip but a Lot of backbone to crank in big fish. If you know anything about Wipers you know they will test your equipment and this rod took all they could dish out. Its the best rod for the money anywhere, seriously sturdy but sensative. Oh, and its great for big spinnerbaits to."

Excellent Product,June 21, 2009
By wburkefrom Salem OH
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I resently purchased a BPS Crankin Rod. I must say that I am totally impressed with this rod. I purchased the 6'6" Medium action, The action and respondsivenees of this rod are excellent. Just last year I bought my first baitcaster, and was having a hard time getting used to it, but this rod has also helped my casting . I love it and will be getting a heavy action to add to the arsenal."

ok rod for the coin.,June 6, 2009
By bassinfla82from jacksonville FL
"Bassfsn Alconites yes but Fuji Ti/SiC's? on a rod this cheap? you do know those guides run about 7.50 for the smaller upper blank guides and 17.50 for the lower larger framed guides? and thats price per EACH there would be 90-100 dollars in guides alone on this rod if Fuji TI/SiC's was used.... or 70-80 dollars in Fuji SS/SiC's was used
All in all a good cranking rod for the money."

Buy one,June 3, 2009
By Creepyfrom East Coast
"Ordered the 7’6” MH one piece. Have not fished with it yet but it will be used to launch deep divers 100 miles across points and deeper flats. The finish on the rod is awesome for the price, and the hook holder is solid. I am just assuming it is going to fish like a 7’ MH I tried a while back, which was flawless. Not a huge fan of BPS rods, although I own a few, and you cant go wrong with this. I turned down a friend’s offer for him to build me a custom 7’6” MH crank rod in favor of this one. Saved me about 120 bucks!"

Great Rod for the money!!,May 30, 2009
By BigMatt500from south carolina
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Value for money
"I have three crankin sticks- 7'm, 7'mh, and 7'6" mh. I could not be happier with these rods, the only thing is that the newer one piece rods- 7'6" and 7'10"- have x-fast actions which makes the rod a lot stiffer than the other fast action rods. The 7'6" I have will be exchanged for the telescopic rod, but these are quite possibly some of the best rods available for the money. These are the first rods I have that are bait specific and I love to fish with them. A lot of backbone, very sensitive and light so you don't get worked to death using a spook or popper. The only thing I changed though is that I fish all my hard baits on excel monofilament now and I have not lost a fish yet. Great rod!!"

Outstanding Rod,May 26, 2009
By BassFsnfrom New Berlin, WI
Advantages: Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I used my new 7ft MH Crankin Stick paired with a new Zillion 4.9 this weekend and was very impressed. I found the rod was sensitive enough to detect subtle bites and short strikes along with hard cover and weed tops/edges.
I was able to cast 3/8 to 1 oz crankbaits long distances with ease and the combo was very well balanced.
This is one of the best buys out there. This is a good quality product at a very reasonable price. I would have preferred the rod with Alconite or Titanium frame SiC guides, but maybe that will be an improvement to future models."

Great deal, good rod,May 21, 2009
By retiredbosnfrom WV
Advantages: Value for money
"I purchased two of the rods a year ago. I've not lost a fish on cranks since. The composite construction of this rod and the limber action is great for cranks. I also use mine as my buzzbait rod, one of the best deals from BPS to date. The IM 6 graphite laid into the rod give great sensitivity, you know exactly what your crank is doing while retrieving. Great rod highly recommend"

Good Rod for the money,May 14, 2009
By WRM73from Springfield, MO
Advantages: Performs well, Value for money
"This rod has come down in price making it well worth the money. I have used the rod on three trips now and it is one of the best rods I have ever used in this price point. The response and action is great. The handle fits well in the hand and is comfortable. The guides are rock solid, I got the 7' Medium. The only negative is the rod is a bit tip heavy but that is easy to resolve."

Great rod,May 14, 2009
By zoomguyfrom Boerne,TX
"Bought this rod on sale and am very pleased. Have the 7' Mh rod and it can handle everything from a DD22 to a small 1-minus. Very sensitive and light, wish that the twist down reel lock was part of the foregrip, gets a little annoying after a whole days worth of fishing. Other than that, great rod."

Okay, but a little improvement needed.,March 15, 2009
By IAeliteangler
"The rod itself is great. I own the 7' medium and the 7'6" medium and they both cast great. the one complaint that I have is that the reel seat feels kind of cheap. Another complaint is that, when I grip the rod by palming the reel, the threads above the tightening knob bother my finger. After a long day of fishing, it gave me a nasty blister."

Great Value!,February 20, 2009
By retiredandlovingitfrom Roseville, CA
"Like most B.P.S. rods, this one offers alot of bang for the buck, especially if you purchase it at the $39 sale price. I bought the 7'-6" mh rod, and it works equally well for spinnerbaits as it does for deep cranks. It is extremely light weight but still has plenty of backbone. I love the contoured grip and the overall feel of the rod. My only criticism of this rod is the fast tip. That being said, this rod is untouchable at the extremely modest $39 sale price tag."
