"Color screen is very easy to see in direct sunlight. Very simple to use. Turn it on, choose a screen from the main menu and your good to go. Haven't been able to test it at 25 mph yet as the lake I was on has a no wake due to high water levels. May buy another for the bow and dump the junk Cuda I have.
So far so good. Hope there's no issues with these."

"Bought one last year and so far real happy. This unit features a nice rich display, has temp and is accurate. A good value when you want to take it to the next level with a fish finder in terms of color. I have mine mounted on the dash at the helm station. The only down fall is that it is a little bright at night making your site a little blinding when you need to operate your boat."

"I bought the garmin 300c and just used it today on a local lake. At first the screen size is somewhat of a let down but let me tell you the screen could have been smaller and you or the guy watersking could still see the screen clearly. Also the features are perfect for the units size. The ease of use was a nice feature also.I still havent looked at the manual no need using the 300c is a no brainer. the only down side is the length of the power cable but like everything else install a splitter and add wire not a big deal. just dont have rollie split them wires you might start a fire."
