Not a great design, May 16, 2009
By kustmpaintr from Connecticut

Advantages: Style/Design
Disadvantages: Difficult to use, Durability, Performance

"A bit of a let down. Not the quality that you would expect from the name Browning. Good idea, poor execution. Feels flimsy and not very strong. If you just need a light tool for certain light tasks then this will work, but if you are going to rely on this type of tool for an extreme outing you might want to look into others."

Disappointed, February 28, 2009
By Slusooner from Oklahoma

"I saw this at Bass Pro and thought it was cool. I have not seen this particular mix of tools on any other fishing multitool. In particular I liked the jig eye cleaner and backlash pick, as I imagined I would use those frequently. Plus it was by Browning which I figured would be a bonus, quality wise. Unfortunately on my very first outing using this tool, less than two weeks after I bought the thing, the pliers broke when I was trying to use it to cut a plastic tie on the packaging of my son's new fishing rod. Most pliers would cut this with no problem. I guess the "cutters" on this tool are strictly for fishing line. Nonetheless, based on previous reviewers' comments as well as my own experience, this tool is definitely not worth the money. I wish I would have read those reviews first before buying it."

High Hopes, July 8, 2008
By bmon from Iowa

"This item was a bit of a disapointment, I thought it would have been better due to the Browning name. I was wrong, for the price I should have bought a Leatherman. The tools on these pliers are low quality, the blade barely cuts mono let alone even attempt to cut braid. The pliers are too blunt for me, I like a pointer needlenose. Overall, wish I could send them back."

Problem's, June 3, 2008
By mtriton from south carolina

"When i got this tool, it already had the bolt head grounded off from someone over tighten the cutter blade's. I can't even replace the cutter blade's because of it. Now since i've had it about 3 week's the plier's don't want to open and if they do, they won't close good. All around bad product with browning's name on it. I have alway's had good stuff from browning but this is the worst i've ever had. Not built or tested enought."

just a bit off...., February 19, 2008
By BrooklynBoy from Brooklyn, N.Y.

"so I just got this tool in the mail.....the first thing I noticed is its weight....this thing weighs just under a pound! So its pretty heavy, which could be bad or good depending on how you see it. The next thing I noticed was the comfort in the grip....there is none. The edge is kinda serrated, so its not comfortable when when squeezing, especially if you like to really hold tight. Now for the plier, it doesnt close all the way. I can slide two sheets of post-it notes through the gap without any problem. I tried to use it to cinch a knot on mono and the line stripped through instead of holding tight and cinching the knot. Lastly, there is no loop for a lanyard on the tool itself. The sheath has a loop but there is no connection for the tool, so if you drop it overboard, say goodbye to your $50 tool....youll be spending all afternoon fishing for it. Ok, enough of the negatives...I will say that the cutters were excellent. I snipped through 50lb braid like butter and cut through some mono almost as easily. Also, there were some fishing-specific tools that you dont usually see on a multitool...that was the main reason why I decided on this item over all the others in this category. Overall its a nice looking item, but for a shore fisherman like myself, I'd like a smaller, lighter more comfortable multi tool....and one that has a better grip on things, I mean, that is the main function of the tool after all.
Pros: cutter, tools specifically for the fisherman
Cons: weight, comfort, gripping action
