"i found out that this lure can be fished just right off of the banks... cast and jig, this spoon will deliver for trout! has a very nice flutter to it when it falls much like a super duper but it weighs a lot more... meaning, you can cover a lot more water and fish it deeper! very versatile! must have for fishing trout in the lakes where i live!"

"Probably the best ice fishing lure I have used over the last 15 years in Washington State (yes, we do have great perch and trout ice fishing in the state). However, this lure as well as a couple others I have used will not catch a lot of fish just by themselves. The secret is tipping them with something. The picture shows one of the perch I caught on 4/6/08."

"This is the most versatile lure I own for ice fishing. I use the Blue and Pearl colored Pimples exclusively for Trout, Walleye, Perch, Crappies, Sunnies and Northerns. You can jig it, hang it on a tip-up with either dead or live bait. It is deadly for walleyes hooking a minnow through the dorsal fin, in the mouth through the top of the head, or using just a minnow head. Smaller sizes of Pimples are best in the early winter, and increase your size as the winter progresses or if the fish are extremely aggressive. I always use the treble hook instead of the single hook that is also supplied, as it increases my hooking potential, Single hooks are good if the fish are extremely finicke. Get rid of the little yellow or red fin that comes with the lure.It has never been useful in my experience. Have Fun!"

"I used this lure from when I had went ice fishing on a lake and it was a great lure for all kinds of panfish like perch. I had gotten the smallest size or the size that I had thought had fit a good sized perch. All you have to do is put a small part of a minnow like the head of a minnow."
