excellant treestand, November 15, 2008

"Wow this stand is fantastic. IF you need a tall stand for your youth or child this is the way to go. We put this on a corner of a woodlot 2, crop fields, and hayfield, with the ground slope, we needed a tall stand on this corner, and this one does the job. Our kids are getting to that age, and I grabbed this for another "kids"/adult stand at our hunting property. When me and my buddy set it up and got in it, it was plenty big for both of us.
One other reviewer got it right assemble the top at home with your seat and platform, the rest isnt to bad in the field very easy. We pushed it up with two of us, no problem. It is a taller stand, keep that in mind if your gonna bring your youth in this and they dont take well to heights, but the stand it self is great.

Worth the hard work, May 14, 2008
By gettnold from Western Ohio

"Bought 2 of these after a bit of shopping online...combination of features and price makes this stand a sure thing. This stand is very well made, and the instrctions are pretty easy to follow if you have just a bit of common sense. I decided to assemble as much of them as I could in my garage, which turned out to be a good thing; no dragging (or losing) tools out into the woods. This took about 1.5 hours each...I took my time and added padded insulation on the shooting rail. Loaded both of these in the truck and went off to the woods. As with any stand, dragging all of the pieces/supplies all of that distance is a bit of a pain, but isn't it always worth it that first morning of deer season? The instructions say to fully assemble the stand on the ground, dig the base of the ladder into the ground, and walk it into the upright position. RIGHT!!!! I had another hefty grown man with me, and we about killed ourselves trying this. One of the stands was going up a slope, and this turned out to be an impossibility. If you try this, either take all of the friends you know along, or rent a crane. Once it is in the upright position, things get MUCH easier. This stand is nice and tall, and extremely secure/stable. I would feel safe with 2 people in this, or safe for my 11 yr. old to use alone. Can't wait to try it out this year!"

Best Ladder Stand, January 11, 2008
By Al30043 from Lawrenceville, GA

"Over the years I have come to use ladder stands more and more. I have purchased many different types looking for "The one." I have found it in this stand. It's strong, sturdy, and well built. All my hunting buddies like this ladder too, especially one guy that brings his son hunting. He says that he feels more secure in this ladder than any other he has used. I recomend it to all."

By andrew012 from Waner Robins, GA

"This stand is a great 2 person stand it is very sterdy. Since it is 20 feet you can see a great distance. it does take 3 to 4 people to put it up but the work is soo worth it. once again the stand is sterdiest stand ive been in. it also isnt very hard to assemble. this is a must have stand for anyone needing a double ladderstand especially for parent and child. Also the price is great for what your getting"

Best buddy stand, October 28, 2007
By KneeDragnR1 from Wood River, IL.

"I usually hunt alone, but my fiance has decided to come along for shotgun season, see what its like, and perhaps video tape.
So, we decided to buy the Sky Rise and try it out a bit in the backyard on one of the huge Oaks we have.
I assembled it quickly enough and with ease using the instructions provided.
I found it is best to use 3 adults when rising this big boy up...And here's how we did it:
Take a long enough rope, say 20 feet, and tie it to one of the rungs towards the top section. Have one adult stand on the bottom rung while holding the rope. This way they can keep their balance, keep the ladder from moving, as well as keeping it from tipping as the top gets heavy and when the other two adults are lifting and walking the top upward.
Once it gets passed parallel, you've got it beat!
Then just follow the rest of the instructions provided.
I think I'm going to try a block and tackle set-up that has a double or triple pulley and use a ratchet strap to hold one pulley, as high as I can get it to the tree, while having the other pulley bolted to the upper stand rung. Which should make the handling a lot easier.
Once the stand was in place and secured to the tree, we both got up in it.
Now I have always hunted from a climber and typically try to get to "nose bleed" highths...So, for me, it wasn't a problem. But she was a little "skeered" and took a bit to get use to. But, she likes it a lot!
We also got the canvas camo blind that Big Game makes for it...Which looks very durable and nice. Snaps together easy too!
We're waiting on the Universal Roof that Big Game makes now, and then we'll have a Condo in the Sky!
I highly recommend this stand!!!

Great Product, August 29, 2007
By Livingston Deer Slayer from Livingston, TX

"When I first saw this product I knew it was for me and my best hunting buddy (my wife).
We like it so much we purchased 2 of them. Only con, it's a little difficult to raise and really should be a 3 man job.
Very stable and secure, would highly recommend.
