Disadvantages: Quality
"After only 5 rounds from a 270win the rear stock cradle broke. It is only rubber molded around the heigh adjustment bolt. Rifle was firmly against my shoulder during each round, so it was not like the rest was absorbing the recoil. And they call this a magnum shooting rest. Poor design!"

"The rear support on the Magnum Rest has been redesigned. It is now reinforced by the metal bolt shaft, which goes further into the base of the molded rubber support. All units being shipped now have the improved rear support."

Disadvantages: Durability
"Used it two times, first with muzzle loader and it did fine. Then, I used my 30-06 and the rear stock holder came off. I had my shoulder firmly in place and it still broke apart. The fork portion is held on by rubber and a small, and I mean small piece of metal. Sheard right off. I will take the pieces and modify it much more stronger. Would not purchase again."
