"These are more than strong enough, easy to install, look great, and even when you step on them you will not feel them there. I highly recommend these, however the screws will rust if your boat carpet gets wet alot and when stored in high humidity. This is not a big problem since you can easily replace the screws or protect them with paint so that they do not rust."
