"I am not a fan of putting any holes in my boat, but this product insures that you dont ever have more than one set of holes, no matter how many transducers you use or move. Just make sure to seal it well with some good marine adhesive."

"Easy to machine (drill, mill, cut). Durable. Includes stainless screws. If you choose to use adhesive, do your research. Very limited choices with regard to adhesives that will actually stick to this stuff."

Drill holes in this plate instead of your boat.

,

"Transducer hole patterns are not all identical or even the same size. Do you really want to drill more holes in your boat just because your sonar unit crapped out and you needed to replace it? If you stay with the same brand sonar unit you might have a shot at it but who does that in a constantly changing world. Get this little gem, mount it to your boat, and change transducers like you change underwear, wives, and girlfriends. You won't have to drill more mounting holes in your boat for equipment changes or electronic upgrades. These are also great for mounting depth finders on dashboards too. Make sure you use stainless steel screws and marine grade sealant in the screw holes and behind the plate to protect your boat from water damage."
