Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well Disadvantages: Durability
"I've had this reel for less than a year and used it almost every weekend for largemouth. It's smooth and and well balanced but the reverse switch broke on me twice. I had to ship it out for repairs and it took two weeks to get it back. I never had problems like this with any other reel."

Browning Medallion GT
Advantages: Quality, Value for money
"I have had this reel for 14 months now and I like it very much. I use it for ultra light trout fishing in high mountain lakes and streams. The drag is good and the reel is smooth. I have had no problems with it even with 3-4 lb. trout. I have it mated with a St. Croix Premier pack rod PS60LF4 and Maxima Ultragreen 4lb. test. I tried two other reels that were a lot more money with this rod before trying this one. Side Note: I still have a Browning Micro Medallion rod/reel combo that I purchased 10+ years ago and it still performs like it is brand new!!"

Advantages: Performs well, Quality
"I picked up this rig and intended to use it as my drop shot rig while bassing. It has quickly surpassed that role and become my go to reel for throwing spinners and spoons in the river for trout and salmon.
It holds plenty of line and handles like a dream. The drag works phenomenally and many times I've thought the reel was going to start smoking from a running steelhead but it holds up and performs time after time.
Give one a try today on your favorite rod, or better yet match it up with a Medallion GT rod as well!"
