"I have had one of these reels for about 4 yrs now. I have used it many times trout fishing and Salmon snagging in Colorado and have not performed any maintenance on it at all. No cleaning, no oiling and have had no probelms. I thought it would be too light for Salmon snagging, but it has really hung in there especially with no maintenance. I highly recomend this real and I'm going to purchase another one before my next trip."

"This reel is a great deal if you catch it on sale. I own 5 of them and i have not run into any issues with them. As long as you keep up on the basic maint. they will last for years. If you grab them while they are on sale you cant beat em. They have as many, if not more, bearings than a lot of the more expensive reels. Overall i've been happy with mine."

Good for awhile, but dies quickly,August 10, 2008

"I've had one for a couple of years. It worked flawlessly until yesterday while smallmouth fishing. There is a copper ring around the shaft over the anti-reverse bearing and under the anti-reverse cover. This thin little copper ring somehow snagged on the shaft and was drawn partially into the reel. This made it so the reel could hardly be cranked. I opened the reel and took the anti-reverse cover offer and found the mangled copper washer. Copper particles were in the anti-reverse bearing. Never had this happen on other brands with 10 times the use. Avoid this reel."

"I've used this reel for almost 1 year and it has developed a problem with the retrieve when there is a load on the line. It feels like a gear is skipping a tooth and it is not very smooth. I won't be buying any more reels from this manufacturer. I returned a different model because the anti-reverse switch would not move."

"I have had this reel for a while now and would have to say I am pleased with it. The drag works very well and it will cast far with little effort. I only wish they offered this reel in smaller sizes."
