Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Style/Design, Value for money
"I bought a 500 and a 750 for crappie and trout fishing. The reels have a small amount of play in the handles, but reels in this price point generally do. They look good, perform well and the drags are smooth. They do the job and I catch a lot of fish and have a lot of fun catching them with these reels."

Watch ur knuckles,March 2, 2009
By bassfshn2002from Louisville, KY
"AWESOME REEL!!!!! will even bring in bigger fish with out blinking. BUT....if your hands are bigger(like mine) the bail will wack your knuckles from time to time. Other than that would NOT trade it for anything."

Browning Superlight Reel,March 29, 2008
By stomp6767from Shreveport, La.
"I own 2 of these reels and like them. They cast exceptionally well. Line comes off reel easily and also spools up good when you reel in the line. I have a 500 and a 750. The bearings in the 750 went out after only a few times of use. Still I would not be afraid to buy another one because they make great crappie rigs. They don't seem to get the line twists and tangles that the Wally Marshall reels get."

By jimbo33
"I was looking for a new spinning reel at a reasonable cost and i picked th9is one, a big mistake. i woulkd not recommend this reel to anyone it wont pull anything out of the water it doesnt weigh an ounce. the line comes offthe reel to quickly because the reel is so small. save your money, buy something else."

bail spacing,January 10, 2008
By chetfrom buffalo ny
"i agree with RLP65202 about the spacing from the bail to the reel seat. i only wear a medium in gloves and the bail also hits my knuckles. the reel is made well, and does cast great. it will be my grandson's first open face reel."

Design Flaw,December 2, 2007
By RLP65202from Columbia, MO
"The bale contacts your knuckles as you try to reel in your line. The designers of the reel did not create adequate space between the reel and where it attaches to your rod."
