Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality

"After a loss of a large pike ice fishing due to a manufactured leader that failed at the loop at the swivel and the autopsy of that leader I vowed never to use this type of leader again. Basically if you buy a wire leader that is not crimped the loops are just held together by the wire looped, glued and wrapped with fine wire. This wire loop is not even twisted together, just laid near each other and glued. Do yourself a favor and take one apart and you will see for yourself. Manufactured crimped leaders are hard to find and are not of the best quality. Do some research on crimping on your computer and make your own leaders with this tool, double sleeves, quality wire and swivels and you will not lose that big fish due to terminal tackle failure."

"This is my first real crimper and it is nice. Well built, solid feeling, and gets the job done. Crimped single and double sleeves with it no problem. I'm keeping these things oiled and I feel they will last my lifetime of fishing provided I can keep everyone elses hands off of them."
