"Can't say enough about this reel. Smooth, casts great, not a backlash all day. Since I retired, get to go fishing when I want and this reel makes the day a real blast. Finish and durability great even when they get bounced around in an aluminum boat all day. One of the smoothest drags available, haven't broke one off yet. Caught a lot of big bass the past two summers and a lot of the credit belongs to this reel."

"I got this as a gift and loved it for the first few days. After a while the reel would not engage after a cast. Had to flip the button up with my thumb in order for it to take up line correctly. Doing this cost me a few fish while pitching into brush with that initial reaction strike.
Along with that the magnetic break didn't seem to work well. If it was on 10 or 0 it still performed the same. Never got any more loose for casting distance.
I returned it to the store for another one. Same thing happened. About 9-10 days later the same thing started happening. And just returned it for another brand of reel.
When it was right out of the box it performed great just didn't have the legs to keep it going for more than 2 weeks. And it was a little heavier than competing reels. Would fatigue my arm after 4-6 hours of constant fishing.
I think the Bass Pro Extreme reels perform much better for a third the price of this."

"I love this reel. I paired this up on a 6.6 M Carrot Stix with 14 lb. BPS Flourocarbon line and it performs wonderfully. The biggest plusses for me are the click drag and cast control knobs. They make it quite easy to control and gauge how tight you have your settings. Very minimal backlashes (only some from user error) and casts extremely far. My fishing buddy was using his Abu Ambassaduer and I was launching my line almost twice as far as he was. Needless to say he was quite jelous.
Plus the reel looks very classy and sleek."

"Great Reel!!! I got one on sale for 130 and I got to tell you, it's hard to beat that. I got the 7.1:1 matched with the 7' MH Bionic Blade for fishing soft baits, and I couldn't be more happy. I have been ripping bass off the docks ever since! My only grudge is it's a little heavy compared to my Revo, but once I got used to it, I have been getting stronger hook sets. Florocarbon + Berkley Power Baits = Game Over Bass. Thanks agian BPS!"

"I bought one about 3 years ago and it is still working great and now i have have purchased another and my old one is just as smooth and great casting just like the new one. It's the best reel for the money and better than more expensive reels i have tried. I have a Pflueger Patriarch and can't tell the difference between them and they also look very much alike.You can't beat this reel period."

"Others have about said it all. I can't quite cast a mile with it. But I can cast as far as I want to. The drag works perfect and it is in it's second year. The finish is still like new. I have caught a 32 lb. Muskie with it on 10 Trilene XL. Pretty much my go to reel. Buy one and see for yourself. You know you can't go wrong with BP. service."

"Well I had he Rick Clunn for years before I got this. Loved the RC but the JMorris has a more quality feel to it. Casts great, looks awesome, and feels good in the hand. Only issue I have is the drag. I caught my first bass and had to sit there and keep adjusting the drag on it cuz it was too low. AND the bass was under 1lb. I have the drag set almost on max. Other than than it is an awesome reel at a great price. Great for the serious angler."

"Purchased this reel based on appearance and reviews. I own two BSP Rick Clunn baitcasters and as much as I like them, thought I'd upgrade. This reel has same feel as the RC model. I may have just gotten a lemon, but this reel's casting distance was no more than 2/3 the length of my RC models. I tried everything possible to fine tune it, but to no avail. BPS was great and let me exchange the reel for another or any other reel that I wanted. I exchanged it for the Pro-Qualifier and am really glad I did. The P-Q is fantastic and for a lot less money."
