Great Product... Great Price !, November 21, 2008
By Hank21

"I recently purchased the Daiwa Accudepth 27LC and complimented it with a Ugly Stck Tiger (med.) , spooled with Berkely Trilene Big Game 25lb. mono, which was used to easily handle 15-30 lb. Halibut and Ling Cod from the depths of the Ca. Bay. Great for Striper Fishing as well !!!"

Very powerful reel, March 6, 2008
By TylerS

"This is a very good reel better that the old sealines i think. Depth counter is pretty accurate as long as you use the right size diameter line. Overall good product from daiwa."

Nice reels now, March 5, 2008
By fishfan from IL

"I had 2 older versions of this reel a few years ago, and they were ok. I put a lot of time on those reels, and sometimes the spool would lock-up and you would have to jerk the line to get them spinning again.

Well it seems with the re-design, they got that bug worked out. The problem wasn't bad enough to prevent me from buying new ones at all, but fixing the glitch and improving the feel of this reel earned them 5 stars.

I use the 27's, & they're a perfect size for inland trolling on small and medium size lakes.

Got 2, gonna get more, October 18, 2007
By Frank from Zion, Il

"I have 2 of these I use for Salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. I use them primarily with Dipsey Divers. I plan on getting 1, maybe 2 more and using them with my downriggers as well. I know youdon't need a line counter on a rigger (usually) but sometimes you want to control the distance behind the ball a little better than just guestimating. Besides, it is a smooth operating reel and works very well for the size fish I target. 2 thumbs up."

By anonymous

"this reel is great. It's very smooth, holds a lot of line, and is good to catch any kind of fish.i go deep sea fishing a lot and this reel is perfect for it.In addition,it has a line counter so you can see how deep the line goes and when you catch a fish, you know how deep to go to catch.Very good real especially for 49.99"
