Advantages: Performs well, Style/Design

"Best paint for jigheads hands down. Needs to be cured in the oven, and make sure to clear the eyes of paint first!"

Works great!, June 24, 2009
By kayker from Brookline,Ma.

Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money

"I purchased this not thinking it would be durable on jig heads. I was wrong it works great. I also use it on spoons that are beat up pretty bad. After heating and dipping I just reheat with a lighter lightly, (if your heat source is too close the paint burns) I'm purchasing a couple more colors next trip to Bass Pro."

Great product......, November 22, 2008
By jignpigs from Galena, MO

"This is one great product. I pour my own shakey head jigs and drop shot weights and use this paint on both. All you do is heat the jig or weight for a few seconds and dip it. It is that simple. And the product is very durable. I have found it to be more durable if you bake the finished product in the oven."

"I had the chance to watch an old pro do some jig fishing recently. He used a nice shiny head with 3D eyes on it. The jigs looked professionally made and stood up to a day's hard abuse being banged off of the bottom. When I asked him where he got these heads, he only smiled in the way the old pros do. I went home and looked online for a similar product but could find nothing.

This powder paint is the first step in achieving a great custom pro modified jig head. I got a bottle of the Pro Tec powder paint in Watermelon flake, a jar of the clear vinyl dip and a pack of 1/8 3D molded stick-on eyes (in clear). All said and done I was out about $12.00 for my project.

I simply heated the jig head evenly with my trusty Bic for about 10 seconds and dipped it in the powder paint. The powder sticks to it and does its magic and right before your eyes your jig is transformed into a work of art.

I let the powder paint dry for about 20 minutes, then applied the stick on eyes, then dipped the whole head in the clear coating and let it drip dry for an hour.

I did not need to cure either coat in the oven. They both applied beautifully and evenly the first time out.

The end result is as beautiful a work of art as I saw the old pro handling, and I did it all myself.

I fully reccomend this product.

Amazing!, February 22, 2008
By KYbassin from Louisville, KY

"I recently bought a Do-it molds jighead mold to make my own jigheads. This is the way I chose to paint all the jigheads I made, and it is amazing. The powder coat paint is the easiest, fastest, cheapest, funnest..... I mean most fun, and most durable way to paint your own jigheads, period!"

Most durable finish, October 29, 2007
By Bigun from Surgoinsville , TN

"This the quickest and easiest paint I have ever used . Great finish ,durable anf glossy . Clean eyes of hooks out quickly before coating cools . Keep jigs seperated until completly cool . If too much powder is applied you can re-heat and smooth out wrinkles as well as re-dip if not enough powder ."

Pro-Tec powder paints, March 1, 2007
By Perinski

"This is by far the quickest & easiest way to paint your jigs, spinnerbaits/buzzbaits or weights I have ever used in my 20 years of pouring lead.
The finish is glossy & durable when baked as per directions and there are no fumes.
Simply heat the item to be coated with a lighter or propane torch for 1-2 seconds, dip it in the powder and the first stage is done. Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes @325 degrees and you'll have a high gloss, rock hard finish.
You can also mix colors to achieve a custom color.
