Not good for all terrain

Disadvantages: not water friendly
"I bought this pair of shoes expecting to be able to conquer my back woods. They are very comfortable and vent nicely, but there is one aspect that they do not perform well, and that is in wet conditions. The Foxboro store must have accidently put this shoe in the waterproof area, because that is the first thing I look for in a shoe. Wet feet is a fun killer for sure. While hiking in my back woods today, I stepped in a shallow puddle of muck, maybe 1.5 inches deep. My foot was soaked! Not just a little wet, but my sock was dripping. Too late for me to return, wish they were labeled properly on the store shelf."

"These shoes rock! The miles have been passin by without a foot issue. My ankles and feet are in great shape, so the low version works nicely. Traction is good under normal conditions. I'm stoked to have these shoes!"

"I have bad arches, so I wear custom orthotics. I bought these in hopes of finding a shoe that worked well with them and guess what...I did! I'll definately be purchasing more Merrells and I'll be happy to spend more $$$...it's well worth it. You'll get your money's worth out of a pair of Merrells!"
