Baitstick spinning combo offshore results, February 16, 2008

"We utilized two of the BPS baitstick spinning combos offshore Port Canaveral Florida with mixed results.The fit and finish on this product was superb, and both combos caught plenty of baitfish for us, until the weakness came forward. Dropping for bait in 60' with 3/4 ounce wieght the handles on both spinning reels had failed, one snapped off and was unusable, and the other one snapped but not all the way through and was still usable.BPS warrantied the reels without incident. They need to uprade the combo to survive the big water enviroment. I would suggest purchasing just the Baitstick rod and providing a beefier spinning reel. It is still a great product."
