"I bought 3 boat rods for some old Penn reels I repaired. This was mainly due to the low cost/price. These are the rods that everyone picks out to use when we are ready to start fishing, without question. I'm very happy with how well the perform and I can't see how you can do better for the money. Recommend Very Highly..."

Great fishing rod at a great price, August 27, 2007

"I purchased two 5'5" Penn Mariner fishing rods a few months ago. I needed to replace a few rods on my boat that had rusted guides and worn butts. I decided to get something inexpensive since the season is already half over.
To my suprise, the Penn Mariner rods turned out to be one of the best investments I've made. They are great for light trolling as well as bottom fishing. I even cast them at schools of bait if I have to.
Matched with my Penn GT320 reels the combination is hard to beat at this low of a price. I will be buying at least two more before the end of the season.
I reccomend this rod to all my friends and anyone who asks."
