"Big Hammers have a pretty strong West Coast following and its good to see it spreading across the country. These are premium swim baits and work wonders in saltwater. I primarily fish the 5" size for a wide range of sand bass, calicos, halibut, bonito, yellowtail, and rockfish. The tail provides a lot of kick when matched up with a leadhead. I have noticed that some of the Big Hammer swimbaits will separate if you rig them ahead of time and leave them in the sun. I would keep them in the package and rig them right before you use them. These are far superior to some of the other swimbait designs you see on the market."

Great Large Mouth Bass Product Also,December 3, 2007

"There's no question that these swimbaits work very well in salt water. I use them in the southern california surf for Halibut and Sand Bass. But in winter time when the salt water scene slows down their also awesome Largemouth Bass baits on the west coast. The trick is to first pinpiont the forage in your body of water. Then pick out swimbaits that closly resemble the colors and size of the forage. Baby Bass, Bluegill and small Shad are the main forage in my area and a 3 inch Big Hammer in the above colors imitates them very well. What works best for me is to not use the rod to give the lure action like you would with a plastic worm rather you should cast it, keep your rod low and reel it in real slow if it hits bottom reel faster then slow back down. The trick is to keep the bait right off the bottom. My biggest bass so far is a 8 pound hog(released) taken on a 3 inch baby bass colored swimbait. Warning if your offering doesn't resemble the forage YOU WONT GET BIT. Dont buy bright colors they wont work for bass keep it as natural as possible and stay confident and you'll get bit."

"I threw a 5" Big Hammer Swimbait last week while largemouth bass fishing. Caught a 2.12 on my first cast and a 5.13 about an hour later. These baits look awesome in the water and will catch BIG BASS!"

"I have been using these to fish the bays and surf in southern california...When nothing else will catch fisht this is my goto swimbait.....weather it be bassing in the kelp or halibut hunting in the surf this bait will get them all!!! Good job Big Hammer on such a quality bait!!!!!!"
