"I'm using the 1/8 oz. heads with Gulp pogies and Mirrolure CAL shads. Hook gap is a bit smaller than I'd like, but the hook-up ratio is still pretty good with trout anyway."

"These are great jig heads. I like to use them on grubs of all sorts. The heavier ones can be used on squid tubes. For live bait i love to texas rig shrimp with these.
The reverse barbs also help keep the lure of choice secure. Sadly the paint does come off easily but can be fixed with a sharpie permanent marker."

"This jig is an old classic here in Florida. The hook design is not as large as newer jigs but the hook up percentage is sometimes better. They can also be used with baits from the two inch Gulp shrimp on up while many newer jigs cannot. The Cotee jigs have slightly smaller but just as secure bait barbs that hold fine but don't rip the bait open. The hooks are a finer diameter but strong enough for inshore trout, redfish and flounder. These are always in my box and are normally my first jig of the day on at least one outfit. Well worth using."

The only Jig I'll use

"I've been using a Cotee 1/4oz Red Liveye jig since my dad bought me one in the 80's. I've always used it with the chartruse chubby grub now I still use the grub body, but I also use the Cracker Shrimp in root beer or clear with red flakes in it. I've caught a lot of fish over the years and that's the only jig I'll use. I would recomend it to anyone."

"At first I thought that the product was fantastic, but after numerous big fish bent and threw the hook I have decided to move onto something else.
Great for tiddelers, doesnt stand up to anything over 45lb though"

"I used this for trout fishing in flats near Steinhatchee, Florida. The paint holds up well, especially the "live eye". By far the best feature is the double barb on the leadhead. This keeps the plastics that you are using from sliding down the hook after a few strikes. Other brands only have one barb, or they have "bumps" that do not hold well after they are painted. I highly recommend this product!"
