Spinning Reel for strong fish,
June 29, 2008
By Klintrock
from Naperville
"These reels are great for spinning reel applications catching big fish. Gears are powerful and will not buckle on strong runners. Drag is also up to the job and easily adjustable for rough running fish. I like to load with 60lb braid and tie on flourocarbon leaders. If you match to a very good rod, you will never be sorry. The performance will equal that of more expensive. The only difference will be that it is heavier than those that cost 500 bucks."

WOW GREAT REEL !!!,

By SEADOG902

"I use this reel both offshore for trolling and on the pier @ the skyway in St. Pete., Fl.
I have no problems handling the big groupers at the pier and the kingfish when I am trolling. I really enjoy the comfort of knowing that I can spool 600 yrds of 100 lb. braid on this reel and not have to worry about being spooled out. try it you'll like it <(())<<"

Monster reel,

"This thing is a tank!!!! I bought this reel to use for butterfly jigging and it fits the bill. The drag is unbelievable. I own the 9500 and could have defiantly gone with a smaller size. You will be impressed."

Serious Trophy Blue Catfish Reel,
December 26, 2007
By Coyote1
from South St. Louis, Missouri
"I've used other reels, Penn's Okuma's, Garcia's and others. But for trophy Blue Catfish in the 60#+ class on the Mississippi give me my Fin-Nor Offshore 9500 anytime of the day or night!
The drag system is smooth and reliable. The man-sized grip on the handle is comfrontable, smooth, and fits my large hands just right! In fact, I now judge all other handles by this one!
Spare spools are available that don't cost you an arm and a leg" either and they are the same quality as the one that comes on the reel.
As mentioned above, I would recommend this reel to any of my fellow BOC/Brotherhood of Catfishermen, members or anyone else that is SERIOUS about getting record "Blues" on any of our main waterways, or many of the saltwater species available!!
It's a Large, Solid, Well Made, "Knock-Down Drag Out" reel that I would not be afraid to go after a 400 pound Mako with any day of the week!
Cordially,
Coyote1
