Advantages: Ease of use, Style/Design, Performs well, Value for money, Quality, strong as bull
Disadvantages: none
"On Thursday Feb 18 I spent over two hours in the Manteeca, ca location looking for the perfect rod and reel. I looked at them all, researched them all and priced every setup you could imagine. I finally settled on the Penn Slammer combo with the 113h and the slammer rod strung with the Bass Pro Shops 40 pound mono. On Friday night at 11:23 I started fighting a 400 POUND sturgeon that was OVER 9ft long (yea baby) it took me an hour and fifteen minutes but I got him. The next day I caught a 4 pound cat fish (lol) I guess it works for those too. If you are looking for a great setup I strongly recommend this package."

Another awesome penn combo,
April 30, 2009
Advantages: Ease of use, Performs well, Quality, Value for money
Disadvantages: bulky at times but its a 4/0 so its gona be big
"This thing is just great. It is big enough to hold a lot of line, ( 50lbs suffix mono, w 50lbs seaguar fluoro leader) perfect set up i catch plenty of gags that are keepers, the rod can take the beating of the salt and wind, great from piers or out in the gulf/ocean. great strength, easy to use. I got the 6'6" slammer with the 4/0 113H 30-50lbs combo and its a little bulky at times but it gets the job done and thats what i want. It has great crank power, you dont have to play the fish out with this rod/reel just crank it in..it can take it."
